Users' Center Closed - Dec. 24 - Jan. 4
The Users Center will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 4. It will re-open on Mon. Jan. 7.

Cafeteria holiday hours
The Wilson Hall Cafeteria will be open 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Breakfast/Grill Only) on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. For Dec. 26-28 and Jan. 2-4, Cafeteria hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Cashier’s Office closed during holidays
The Cashier's Office will close at 3 pm on December 21 and reopen at 1 pm on January 2.

Indoor Soccer
Indoor Soccer: 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays at the gym in the Village. Gym membership is required. Please contact O'Sheg Oshinowo at Oshinowo@fnal.gov for more information.

Timecard Due Early for Week of Dec 17-23
Employees submit their timecard by 10 a.m. Thursday Dec. 20. Supervisors have all timecards approved by noon Thursday Dec. 20. Payroll will sign off at noon (non exempt) and 3 p.m. (exempt) on Thursday Dec. 20. Revisions should be e-mailed to Timecard_Revision@fnal.gov

Employees submit their timecard by 10 a.m. Friday Dec. 28. Supervisors have all timecards approved by noon Friday Dec. 28. Payroll will sign off at noon (non exempt) and 3 p.m. (exempt) on Friday Dec. 28. Revisions should be e-mailed to Timecard_Revision@fnal.gov. Payroll will be closed on the half holidays of Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.

Timecard Instructions for Non Exempt employees working on half holidays
For all Non Exempt employees that work on the half holidays Dec. 24 or Dec 31: You must enter the work rule HALF HOLIDAY in the Transfer column when reporting hours worked on the half holiday. This is necessary whether you work the normal 4 hours or if you work more than 4 hours. If you will be off the entire day as half holiday and half vacation or float holiday then you do not need to use the work rule transfer of Half Holiday.

January 2013 timecards and Float Holiday
As in previous years, the 2013 Float Holiday will not be available for use on your January 2013 timecards. You will be able to select and use it beginning Feb. 1, 2013. If you plan on using your 2013 float holiday in January 2013 please e-mail the Payroll Manager at lsmith@fnal.gov before you complete your timecard.

English country dancing Sunday, January 6, 2013
English country dancing will meet Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Kuhn at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 until 5 p.m. There will be live music by Old Fezziwig's Band. Newcomers are always welcome. We will be going over dances for our upcoming New Year's Ball weekend, Jan. 19-20. Dancing will continue the first Sunday of each month through next May. Martial Arts Classes
Kyuki-Do is a Korean martial art similar to Taekwondo. The next Fermi Kyuki-Do Martial Arts session begins on January 7th. I will teach you how to kick, punch, block, throw and fall, and basic self defense. Classes are held for six weeks on Monday and Wednesdays from 5 - 6 PM at the Recreation Facility in the Village. You need to register for the class through the Recreation Office. The cost is $60. You do not need a gym membership to join this class. I will supply a free uniform to students who have never participated in martial arts before. My class size is limited to ten students.

School's Out Day Camp
School's Out Day Camp to be held December 26, 27, 28, January 2, 3, 4: childcare for school age children (7-12 years) will be offered at Kuhn Barn from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The cost is $25.00 per camper/per day. Enrollment will be accepted until noon on Wednesday, December 19. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. The program will be cancelled if less than 7 campers register. Campers will need to bring a lunch. A refrigerator and microwave are available. Beverage at lunch, morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Call Mary or Patti at The Children's Center x3762 or email daycare@fnal.govday to register.

Employee Discount at Journey Cycle and BMX
Journey Cycle and BMX, located in Aurora at Kirk and Butterfield Road, will be celebrating the season by offering 15% off the purchase of a new bike and/or 10% off any service or accessory when customers bring in a used bike for donation. Bicycles will be cleaned and tuned up and donated to a local organization including Hesed House and DuPage PADS. The program is running through December 20, 2012. Journey Cycle and BMX is a full service shop new to the Kane County area, providing a variety of cycles for men, women, children and avid BMX riders.
