Fermilab Lecture Series Presents The Intensity Frontier Mar. 23
With the Energy Frontier moving over to Europe and the LHC, Fermilab is making plans to increase its dominance of the Intensity Frontier. The focus of the planned program will be investigations in the area of muon, kaon, neutrino and nuclear studies which will probe for potential new phenomena beyond the current Standard Model of Particle Physics. This lecture will explain the importance of the Intensity Frontier to the world's understanding of nature and its significance to Fermilab. Deadline Approaching for Summer 2012 On-Site Housing Requests
Those requesting reservations for on-site housing (houses, apartments, and dormitory rooms) for the SUMMER of 2012 can now submit their request to the Fermilab Housing Office. The deadline is Monday, Mar. 5. For more information, please contact the Housing Office at (630) 840-3777 or housing@fnal.gov. Special Joint Experimental-Theoretical Physics Seminar - Feb. 23
A Special Joint Experimental-Theoretical Physics Seminar will take place on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. in One West. The talk is titled, "Measurement of the mass of the W Boson from CDF with 2.2 fb-1." The speaker is Ashutosh Kotwal, from Duke University.

Weekend SharePoint Outage beginning Feb. 24 through Feb. 26
The SharePoint support staff expects to upgrade SharePoint to Service Pack 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 through 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26. SharePoint will be available in read-only mode during this time. There may be short periods of time when the read-only version is not available. The SharePoint login page at https://sharepoint.fnal.gov/ will be updated to show when the upgrade is finished.

Tour the Schingoethe Center for Native American Culture at Aurora University in Aurora and lunch at Orchard Valley Country Club Restaurant - The tour starts at 11:15am at the Schingoethe Museum, Marseillaise Pl. and Randall Rd., Aurora University. The museum has artifacts and information about Native American Indian Culture. The museum is in the downstairs of Dunham Hall. Follow the signs. Gallery Series Present Arianna String Quartet - Mar. 4
"Quartet playing doesn't get much better than this" raves the Chicago Tribune about the award winning Arianna String Quartet. Don't miss an afternoon of music by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky, along with an "almost" world premiere of a new work commissioned for the quartet by composer David Stock. The work actually premieres two nights prior. This group has performed around the world, and won numerous international competitions. They are artists in residence at the University of Missouri, Saint Louis. The 2:30 concert, in the Second Floor Art Gallery,incl udes a post-concert artist reception.

SciTech Preschool Open House - Feb. 18 & 25

Martial arts classes
Kyuki-Do is a Korean martial art similar to Taekwondo. The next Fermi Kyuki-Do Martial Arts session begins on Feb. 20. I will teach you how to kick, punch, block, throw and fall, bow staff, and basic self defense. Classes are held for six weeks on Monday and Wednesdays from 5 - 6 p.m. at the Recreation Facility in the Village. You need to register for the class through the Recreation Office. The cost is $55.00. You do not need a gym membership to join this class. I will supply a free uniform to students who have never participated in martial arts before.

"5 Treasures" Qigong for Stress Relief begins Jan. 23
"Five Treasures" is a short, easy to learn, set of Qigong exercises. Specific attention on coordination of breath, posture and intention. This is a more in-depth approach compared to the drop-in classes on Wednesday and Friday.
