CSADay 2015
The annual Computer Security Awareness Day taking place this year on Tuesday, Nov. 10th, offers live ITNA computer security courses in the morning, plus an afternoon Speed Session of various IT and computer security-related, not-for-credit presentations by experts in their fields. ESH&Q Oracle Web server update
The ESH&Q Oracle Web server now uses Services accounts for log-in rather than a KCA certificate or an Oracle database log-in account, as was previously required. The ESH&Q Oracle data entry forms server continues to require your ESH&Q Oracle database log-in information. For help recognizing the different authentication prompts you may see when accessing forms on the ESH&Q web page, please view this Knowledge Base article: https://fermi.service-now.com/kb_view_customer.do?sysparm_article=KB0011807. If you have any questions about this change or have issues logging in, please contact the Service Desk at x2345 or via the web at http://servicedesk.fnal.gov.

Fermi Singers Concert
Come to hear the Fermi Singers at noon on Wednesday, 28 October, in Ramsey Auditorium. We will present about 1/2 hour of songs from many cultures and eras. Refreshments will be offered in the lobby.

English country dancing Halloween Party Sunday afternoon Oct. 25 at Kuhn Barn
English country dancing will feature a Halloween theme Sunday, October 25, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Kuhn Village Barn. The program starts with dances for experienced dancers at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 to 5 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome to join this social and accessible sort of dancing. Costumes are encouraged, and donations of treats for the break are welcomed. The next dance, on Sunday, November 22, will have live music by Old Fezziwig's Band. NALWO Halloween Party for all Fermi Families
You are cordially invited to the annual NALWO Fermi Community Organization's Halloween Party hosted by the Fermi Family's Play Group. Line Dancing Registration Due October 27

FIFE Notes newsletter now available
The first issue of FIFE Notes, a bimonthly newsletter for distributed computing at Fermilab, is available at https://web.fnal.gov/project/FIFE/notes/201510/Home.aspx with links for offline reading in a variety of formats. Fermi Society of Philosophy, A. Burov, "The Puzzling Error of Karl Popper", part II. 12:00, WH4NW
We will finish comparison of moral philosophies of Popper, Kant and Arendt, with a a special focus on totalitarian teachings. South stairwell in atrium closed through Oct. 24
On Monday, Oct. 19, Fermilab will begin installing window tinting on the cafeteria south windows in an effort to reduce the negative effects of the sun's ultraviolet emission. This project will require scaffolding in the center south stairwell from the 2nd floor to the 1st landing on the stairwell leading down to the auditorium lobby. The project will be completed by 10/24. The stairwell will remain closed during this time frame. The cafeteria southeast and southwest sections only will also remain closed during this project. November 24, 2015 deadline for The University of Chicago Tuition Remission Program

Fermilab Board Game Guild
The Fermilab Board Game Guild meets every Tuesday at the User's Center from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Everyone is welcome, and no connection with Fermilab is required. Board games played include, but are not limited to, Puerto Rico, Ticket To Ride, Seven Wonders, Stone Age, Attica, Alhambra, Citadels, and many more. Yoga Thursday Registration Due October 22
The next session of Thursday Yoga will be held October 29 - December 17 from 12-12:45pm in the Wilson Hall Ground Floor Training Floor on the East Side. No class on November 26 (Thanksgiving). Flu Immunizations Still Available
Full-time Fermilab employees may still register to receive a flu shot. Sign up is required on the ESH&Q website. Available slots are on October 29, 8:30 – 12:00. Registration will be open until all slots are filled. The vaccine will be administered at the Fermilab Medical Office, Wilson Hall ground floor. Bring your badge and wear loose fitting clothing.

Indoor Soccer
Indoor Soccer is on Tuesdays (6:00 pm – 9:00 pm) and Thursdays (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm) and Sundays (4:00 pm – 7:00 pm) in the Gym at the Village. Gym membership required. Please contact O'Sheg Oshinowo at Oshinowo@fnal.gov for more information.

FY 2017 Diversity Visa Lottery Registration Open
US Department of State began accepting online registrations for the FY 2017 Diversity Visa lottery ("Green Card lottery"). Foreign nationals have until November 3 to file online. International folk dancing Thursday evenings at Kuhn Barn
International folk dancing meets weekly, Thursday evenings, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome. There is instruction and dances for children and newer dancers early in the evening and request dancing later on. Many of the dances are lines and circles, with no partners needed. There will be a special workshop on English dancing on Thursday, October 15, 7:30 to 10 p.m., at Kuhn Barn, with various guest teachers joining us for the Harvest Moon Dance Weekend. Scottish country dancing meets Tuesdays evenings at Kuhn Barn
Scottish country dancing meets weekly from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Tuesday evenings. Newcomers are always welcome and are paired with experienced dancers -- no need to come with a partner. English country dancing Sunday afternoons, Oct. 4 and 25, at Kuhn Barn, and special workshop Thursday evening Oct. 15
An "extra" session of English country dancing will be held Sunday, October 4, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Kuhn Village Barn. The program will focus on preparation for the upcoming Harvest Moon Dance Weekend, Oct. 16-18, featuring Bare Necessities, the nation's most famous English dance musicians. The next regular Sunday English dance at Fermilab will be the Halloween party on October 25.
