Cafeteria holiday hours
The Wilson Hall Cafeteria will be open 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Breakfast/Grill Only) on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. Cafeteria hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Dec. 23, 26, 27, 30, and Jan. 2-3.

Users' Center Closed - Dec. 23 - Jan. 3
The Users Center will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 3. It will re-open on Mon. Jan. 6.

Butts & Guts Registration Due Jan. 3
Tired of doing the same basic crunches and sit-ups? This strength training workout focuses on increasing flexibility and strengthening the abdominal area. Participants learn a variety of exercises designed to increase core strength that benefit daily living activities. Suitable for any level of fitness! Fridays, January 10 – February 28 from 11:45am – 12:30pm at the Fitness Center Exercise Room, $60/person. Register by January 3. Material Move Request off-site request form move
The Material Move Request (MMR) form for off-site shipment has moved to https://fermi.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=com.glideapp.servicecatalog_cat_item_view.do?sysparm_id=6a223f2c31e7c140f9e6279cd360d450. Log in using your Services account—the one you use for FermiMail and Fermilab Time & Labor. Float Holiday - 2014
As in previous years, the 2014 Float Holiday will not be available for use on your January 2014 timecards. You will be able to select and use it beginning Feb. 1, 2014. If you plan on using your 2014 float holiday in January 2014 please e-mail the Payroll Manager at lsmith@fnal.gov before you complete your timecard and the hours will be manually set up for your use on the timecard.

Timecards Due Early - Week of Dec 16-22
Timecards Week of Dec 16-22 Employees submit timecard by 10 a.m. Thursday Dec. 19. Supervisors approve timecards by noon Thursday Dec. 19. Payroll will sign off timecards on Thursday Dec. 19. Payday for non exempt employees for Dec. 16-22 is Friday Dec 27. Payday for exempt employess for December is Monday Dec. 30.

Wilson Street entrance closed for construction
Wilson Street entrance to the Fermilab site is closed. It is scheduled to reopen on January 2, weather permitting. Otherwise the entrance will be reopened January 6. Truck deliveries and employees will be re-routed to the Pine Street entrance.

2014 BCBS PPO & PPO Premium plan ID Cards
2014 BCBS PPO and PPO Premium plan ID cards were mailed on December 10th. Remember if you have family coverage, both ID cards have the employee's name. If you need additional cards call BCBS at 1-800-548-1686 or go to http://www.bcbsil.com.

English country dancing, Sunday, Jan. 5, at Kuhn Village Barn
English country dancing meets Sunday, Jan. 5, at Kuhn Village Barn. The program starts with dances for experienced dancers at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 to 5 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome. The group meets monthly, on the 1st Sunday of the month through May. They are currently preparing for a New Year's Ball weekend, Jan. 18-19, held at the Baker Center in St. Charles. SharePoint end-user training – December 20

Kyuki Do Martial Arts

School's Day Out
School's out Day Camp : December 23, 26, 27,30, January 2 and 3. Childcare for school age children (7-12 years) will be offered at Kuhn Barn from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., cost is $25.00 per camper. Enrollment will be accepted until noon on Friday, Dec. 20. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. The program will be cancelled if less than 7 register. Campers will need to bring a lunch. A refrigerator and microwave are available. Beverage at lunch, morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Email daycare@fnal.gov to register.

Dreamweaver class offered in Feb.

Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks certified for use
Desktop Engineering and the Fermilab Computing Security Team are releasing Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks after a thorough evaluation. If you wish to upgrade to OS X 10.9 Mavericks, you may submit a service desk request https://fermi.service-now.com/ to have support staff evaluate your computer to determine whether the hardware will support the upgrade and, if so, to perform the upgrade. Please do not upgrade on your own. Upgrades can occasionally break installed applications and services.

Cashier's Office closed during holidays
The Cashier's Office will close at 3 pm on December 20 and reopen at 1 pm on January 2, 2014.

Box Office moves to the Mezzanine December 5
On Thursday, December 5, Fermilab's Box Office will move from One North to the mezzanine. Ticketing services will be unavailable during the move. Scottish country dancing meets Tuesday evenings through Dec. 17 at Kuhn Village Barn
Silk and Thistle Scottish Country Dancing meets at Kuhn Village Barn on Tuesdays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17, and then will resume on Jan. 7, 2014. The group dances from 7:30 to 10 p.m., sometimes to live music, and is taught by Doug Jensen. Most dances are walked through and newcomers are always welcome. International folk dancing meets Thursday evenings in Kuhn Village Barn
International Folk Dancing takes place in Kuhn Village Barn every Thursday evening, and will continue through the holidays without a break. Dancing begins at 7:30 p.m with instruction and dances for children, and there is request dancing later on. Newcomers are always welcome.
