Free Weekly Tai Chi Easy, Integral Tai Chi/Qigong
Free weekly wellness class that features moving meditation practices for vitality, health enhancement, and stress management. We practice gentle movement, breath awareness, and relaxation with guided meditation/visualization to calm the nervous system, foster higher immune system function, reduce reactivity, and activate internal healing resources. This is not a martial Tai Chi class. Come join us to re-balance and re-charge. Free fitness towel to those attending a class January 6 - 10. Kyuki-Do Begins Monday, Jan. 6

AJAS Annual Convention/Fermilab Tour - AJAS (American Junior Academy of Science) is having its annual convention in Chicago, February 12-16. The students are touring Fermilab on Thursday,February 13. ASM Handbooks are online site-wide
ASM Handbooks Online at http://products.asminternational.org/hbk/index.jsp feature the complete content of twenty-eight ASM Handbook volumes and two ASM Desk Editions, giving peer-reviewed information on metals and materials technology. Our site license includes access to over 25,000 pages of articles, illustrations, tables, graphs, specifications and practical examples, and is updated quarterly. Butts & Guts Registration Due Jan. 3
Tired of doing the same basic crunches and sit-ups? This strength training workout focuses on increasing flexibility and strengthening the abdominal area. Participants learn a variety of exercises designed to increase core strength that benefit daily living activities. Suitable for any level of fitness! Fridays, January 10 – February 28 from 11:45am – 12:30pm at the Fitness Center Exercise Room, $60/person. Register by January 3. Float Holiday - 2014
As in previous years, the 2014 Float Holiday will not be available for use on your January 2014 timecards. You will be able to select and use it beginning Feb. 1, 2014. If you plan on using your 2014 float holiday in January 2014 please e-mail the Payroll Manager at lsmith@fnal.gov before you complete your timecard and the hours will be manually set up for your use on the timecard.
Wilson Street entrance closed for construction
Wilson Street entrance to the Fermilab site is closed. It is scheduled to reopen on January 2, weather permitting. Otherwise the entrance will be reopened January 6. Truck deliveries and employees will be re-routed to the Pine Street entrance.

English country dancing, Sunday, Jan. 5, at Kuhn Village Barn
English country dancing meets Sunday, Jan. 5, at Kuhn Village Barn. The program starts with dances for experienced dancers at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 to 5 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome. The group meets monthly, on the 1st Sunday of the month through May. They are currently preparing for a New Year's Ball weekend, Jan. 18-19, held at the Baker Center in St. Charles. Cashier's Office closed during holidays
The Cashier's Office will close at 3 pm on December 20 and reopen at 1 pm on January 2, 2014.
Box Office moves to the Mezzanine December 5
On Thursday, December 5, Fermilab's Box Office will move from One North to the mezzanine. Ticketing services will be unavailable during the move. Scottish country dancing meets Tuesday evenings through Dec. 17 at Kuhn Village Barn
Silk and Thistle Scottish Country Dancing meets at Kuhn Village Barn on Tuesdays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17, and then will resume on Jan. 7, 2014. The group dances from 7:30 to 10 p.m., sometimes to live music, and is taught by Doug Jensen. Most dances are walked through and newcomers are always welcome. International folk dancing meets Thursday evenings in Kuhn Village Barn
International Folk Dancing takes place in Kuhn Village Barn every Thursday evening, and will continue through the holidays without a break.
