Application requirements and participant commitments

By entering the Fermilab Photowalk 2025 application process:

  • I acknowledge this application and any registration for the Fermilab Photowalk 2025 is for one person only, is nontransferable, and that Fermilab cannot accommodate participant guests.
  • I confirm that I am 18 years old or older.
  • I confirm I will present REAL ID-compliant identification to gain access to the site.
  • I agree to comply with all Fermilab site access and safety, and other requirements for participation in the Fermilab Photowalk 2025 and to sign any required documents.
  • I confirm that I can come to Fermilab on July 26, 2025, that I have read and understood the information provided by Fermilab about the event, and that I understand that I am responsible for all expenses and logistics associated with getting to Fermilab to participate in the Fermilab Photowalk on that date.

Participant agreements upon selection

If selected as a participant in the Fermilab Photowalk 2025, I hereby:

  • Consent to use of my name, likeness, and images as captured in any photograph taken during the event by the United States Department of Energy and others acting on its behalf (including Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC as the current management and operating contractor for Fermilab, and any successor contractors) to use, distribute, display, and create derivative works with the images taken by me during the Fermilab Photowalk 2025 event for government use and publicity purposes (including but not limited to use on any website or on social media).
  • Agree and formally grant a worldwide, perpetual, nonexclusive, non-commercial, royalty-free license to the United States Department of Energy, and others acting on its behalf (including Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC as the current management and operating contractor for Fermilab, and any successor contractors), to use, distribute, display, and create derivative works with the images taken by me during the Fermilab Photowalk 2025 event.
  • Agree that I shall not use any information, photographs, or images taken by me during the Fermilab Photowalk 2025 event in manner that is misleading, inappropriate or offensive, in a military context, advertising, promotion, or in any use that implies endorsement by Fermilab, Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC, the United States Department of Energy, or their respective personnel.
  • Acknowledge that my participation in the Fermilab Photowalk 2025 is voluntary and undertaken at my own risk. Neither the Government nor Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC shall be liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during the event, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. Additionally, Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC shall not be liable for any changes to the event, including its cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances. I have read, understand, and will sign the CONSENT, RELEASE, AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY - FERMILAB PHOTOWALK 2025 prior to participation in the Fermilab Photowalk 2025.
  • Acknowledge that use of generative or removal artificial intelligence (AI) tools is not permitted. I understand that the use of AI for these purposes is grounds for disqualification from the Fermilab Photowalk 2025 competition.
