CIGNA Site and System Maintenance This Weekend
Due to site maintenance, myCIGNA.com or CIGNAaccess will be unavailable from 12:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday July 17 through 2:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday, July 18. CIGNA Call Centers will be closed at 9:00 p.m. EST on Friday July 16 and will reopen at 7:00 a.m. EST on Monday July 19. If you call during this time frame, you will hear the following message: "Thank you for calling CIGNA. Our systems are being upgraded this weekend to provide you with even better service in the future. As a result we are unable to take your call at this time. We will reopen Monday morning".

Take 5 Challenge Quiz
The new Take 5 Challenge #3 quiz is available on-line on the Take 5 Web page. June was NSC Safety Month and five NSC safety flyers were mailed out to each mail stop. The quiz questions are based on the information in those flyers. Hope you read them. Three winners will be picked on July 30 and will receive some nice prizes. Pre-K & Youth Swim Lesson Session 4 Deadline
The last session of swim lessons for pre-k and youth is scheduled for the weeks of July 26 and August 2 (Monday - Thursday). Friday is used for makeup day if needed. Last Week's Walking Program Drawing Winner
Congratulations to Mark Ruschman, last week's winner of a 3 month gym membership and a fitness t-shirt. To date, we have 99 participants that have walked a total of 12,593,476 steps, burned 688,418 calories and walked 5,942 miles. It's not too late to register and participate in our weekly drawings. Housing Office Still Accepting Requests for On Site Housing for Fall 2010 & Spring 2011
Please contact the Housing Office to make a request for reservations of on-site houses, apartments, and dormitory rooms for the remainder of 2010 and the Spring of 2011. Please submit your request to the Housing Office by Monday, July 19, 2010. Submit timecard on new system by Friday's
This week, every Fermilab employee should begin using the new Fermilab Time and Labor electronic reporting system to create and submit timecards. To help with this transition, please submit your weekly timecard through the new FTL system by Friday, June 25. You can access the new timecard, training materials and contact information for local support teams at http://www.fnal.gov/pub/ftl/launch.html. Argentine Tango, Wednesday, July 7 to 28
Our new series of four tango classes starts Wednesday, July 7 with instructors Daniel Noce and Ramona Nita. Class dates: July 7, 14, 21 and 28. Level 1: Fundamentals: 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Practice - 6:30 p.m.) Level 2: Intermediate/Adv.: 8:00 to 9:00 p.m.(Practice - 10:00 p.m.) Pricing for class levels: Regular/Student Attending single level 1 OR 2 (4 class set): $60/$50; Attending both Levels 1 and 2 (4 class set): $85/$80; Individual classes: $18/$15. Club & League Fair August 11
Calling all Employee Clubs and Athletic Leagues. 10,000 Steps-a-Day Walking Program
Walk Your Way to Fitness. Register for our 10,000 Steps Per Day Walking Program. On the website you can: log your daily steps, receive coaching tips and fun facts, review educational materials, and sign up for an optional continuation program upon completion of this eight week walking program. Habitat Restoration at Fermilab
Would you like to make the Fermilab site more beautiful than it already is? Here is your chance! Saturday, July 17, the Habitat Restoration group will gather at 9 a.m. in the Lederman Science Center parking lot. Our goal is to remove non-native brush in different areas on site. We remove trees such as Buckthorn from around ponds and along forest edges. Please wear clothing that covers your body as we may encounter mosquitoes, and bring gloves. We work until Noon. SciTech summer camps start June 14
From June 14 to July 30, SciTech Hands-on Museum in downtown Aurora will offer 24 one-week camps for children, including the popular camps "Totally ballistic!" and "Kitchen Chemistry" as well as the new "Wild Weather Wonders" camp. Grounding and Shielding of Electronic Systems course offered Aug 12 and 13
Learning how to solve electromagnetic interference and signal integrity problems on the job can be frustrating for the engineer and very expensive for the lab. While most of the electromagnetic and circuit principles involved are simple, the complexity of many systems masks the logic and simplicity of possible solutions. This course treats signals as currents; explains fundamental grounding, shielding, and mcuh more. Sandor’s summer break from his studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary, is our opportunity to hear the splendor of Frederic Chopin. Sandor’s program includes a tribute to Frederic Chopin, as this is Chopin’s bicentennial year, marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Polish composer. An incredibly versatile singer/songwriter, Claudia Schmidt is equally at home whether singing folk music, jazz standards, or music for the theater. For almost 40 years Claudia Schmidt has been exploring the nuances of acoustic music with her voice, 12 string guitar and mountain dulcimer with an exciting collection of original, traditional, and contemporary writing. ...She has been featured on A Prairie Home Companion, Mountain Stage, a television documentary on KTCA-TV in St. Paul called "I Sing Because I can't Fly" and won a Jeff Award for her role in the Goodman's "A Good Person Szechuan."

Cafeteria to Offer Limited Menu on Saturday, July 10
This Saturday, July 10, the cafeteria grills will be closed, due to a limited power outage of the exhaust systems. The cafeteria will offer a continental breakfast. Lunch selections will include salads, deli sandwiches, and hot pizza slices.

ASK HR: The Office for Professional Development - July 12

All Supervisors: Do you need help preparing for performance reviews?
