English country dancing Sunday, May 2
English country dancing will meet on Sunday, May 2, at Kuhn Village Barn. The afternoon starts with dances for experienced dancers at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 until 5 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome. The group will meet a second time in May, on May 16, and then switch to a summer schedule, meeting June 20, July 25 and Aug. 15. REMINDER! Village power outage tomorrow, Saturday, April 24
REMINDER! Tomorrow, Saturday, April 24, there will be a power outage that will affect the entire Fermilab Village. The power outage is expected to last from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Those living in the Village must minimize opening refrigerators and freezers during this outage in order to maintain proper temperatures for fresh and frozen foods. [THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE FOR THE DORMITORIES.] You may also want to power off your computing equipment. If you have any questions, contact the Housing Office at x3994 or housing@fnal.gov.

Recreation Facility closed Saturday
The Recreation Facility will be closed on Saturday, April 24, from 7a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for the annual Village power outage. The rain date will be Saturday May 15. This is required to perform maintenance on electrical distribution equipment and will impact the entire Village. For more information contact Jeanne in the Recreation Department at x2548.

IMAP users: Configure your e-mail client by May 5
By Wednesday, May 5, those who use IMAP e-mail may need to alter the configuration of their e-mail clients in order to make certain communication is secure. National Lab Day 2010
National Lab Day is a nationwide movement to support science, technology, engineering and math education in our schools by connecting teachers with working professionals. This connection will bring more hands-on, inquiry-based lab experiences to students. Fermilab's celebration of National Lab Day will take place the week of May 3-7. Join Fermilab in supporting National Lab Day by volunteering for opportunities in our community. FORE! The 2010 golf season is about to hit you
The Fermilab Golf League consists of individual leagues, playing on local courses on different nights of the week. There are about 100 golfers in the league. We’d like a few more. We play weekly at the following local courses; Arrowhead Golf Course, Bliss Creek Golf Course and the Fox Valley Golf Course. Membership is open to all Fermilab employees (both present and past), their families and contractors doing business with the lab. If you don’t feel that you can commit to playing every week, all of the leagues offer positions for substitutes that play in an as needed basis. Contact Mike Matulik, x4091, matulik@fnal.gov.

SciTech summer camps start June 14
From June 14 to July 30, SciTech Hands-on Museum in downtown Aurora will offer 24 one-week camps for children, including the popular camps "Totally ballistic!!" and "Kitchen Chemistry" as well as the new "Wild Weather Wonders" camp. Tired of doing the same basic crunches and sit-ups? This strength training workout will focus on increasing flexibility and strengthening the abdominal area. Qi Gong, Mindfulness and Tai Chi Easy for Stress Reduction
This is a FREE weekly wellness class in moving meditation practices for vitality, wellness and stress reduction. We practice gentle movement, breath awareness, self-applied massage, and relaxation practice with guided meditation and visualization to foster higher immune system function, reduce reactivity, and activate internal healing resources. Calling all softball players
Come join Fermilab’s summer COED 14 inch softball league, new teams forming now. Games are played in the village on Wednesday or Thursday nights at 5:30. Season starts May 12 and runs through the end of August. This is not your typical park district league, there is no experience required and there is no cost to join the league. Heartland Blood Center needs blood types A-, B+, B- as reserves are very low

Appointments for whole blood donations are flexible in the event your schedule changes. Administrative Professionals Day Fermilab will celebrate the contributions of its administrative professionals Wednesday, April 21, in Curia II and on the 2nd floor crossover. Maureen O’Brien, author, will present "Where Do You Go When You’re the “Go To” Person?" A Continental breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m. on the 2nd floor crossover and the program will start at 10:00 a.m. in Curia II. All administrative and clerical employees are invited to attend.
