Blackberry Oaks Monday Night Golf League
Golfers needed for the Blackberry Oaks Monday Night League. Tee times are on a first come first serve basis. All play is individual and handicaps are determined by USGA Medal Play. Martial Arts Classes beginning March 29
Kyuki-Do is a Korean martial art similar to Taekwondo. Come and join in for one free class, but come prepared to work. There is no magic pill for this. It requires both mental and physical conditioning. The Next Fermi Kyuki-Do Martial Arts session begins on March 29. Classes are held for six weeks on Monday and Wednesdays from 5 - 6 p.m. at the Recreation Facility in the Village. You need to register for the class through the Recreation Office. The cost is $55.00. I will provide a uniform for students new to martial arts. My maximum class size is 8, so you get a lot of personal attention.

Spring book fair March 24-25
Books Are Fun Book Fair will be held Wednesday, March 24 (10 am – 4 pm) & Thursday, March 25 (8 am – 3 pm). Wilson Hall Atrium (cash, checks and credit cards accepted). SciTech Night at the Museum, March 20
The SciTech Night at the Museum will take place on Saturday, March 20. Doors open at 6 p.m. Program starts at 7 p.m. featuring Nobel laureate Leon Lederman and an amazing music and lightning show with sparks traveling 15 feet through the air, presented by the Masters of Lightning. Refreshments, raffle ticket purchase, silent auction, video games and more than 200 hands-on activities and displays will entertain the entire family. Barn Dance Party March 21
The Fermilab Folk Club will host a special barn dance party Sunday, March 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. with music by the Volo Bogtrotters and calling by Dot Kent. There is no admission charge for this dance. Fermilab Summer Day Camp Registration Deadline April 2
Day Camp information and registration applications are now available in the Recreation Office WH15W, User's Office, The Children's Center and on the Recreation website. Children age 7-12 who are dependents of Fermi employees, visitors or contractors are elibigle to attend Day Camp. Camp will consist of 12 one week sessions beginning June 1. All applications and a $25.00 deposit per session, per child must be turned in to Recreation Office by close of business on April 2. Qi Gong, Mindfulness and Tai Chi Easy for Stress Reduction
This is a FREE weekly wellness class in moving meditation practices for vitality, wellness and stress reduction. We practice gentle movement, breath awareness, self-applied massage, and relaxation practice with guided meditation and visualization to foster higher immune system function, reduce reactivity, and activate internal healing resources. This is not a formal, martial Tai Chi class – but may serve as an introduction to the structured forms. Ongoing Fridays beginning Feb. 5, 12:00 p.m to 12:45 p.m., Wilson Hall Auditorium. Calling All Softball Players
Come join Fermilab’s summer COED 14 inch softball league, new teams forming now. Games are played in the village on Wednesday or Thursday nights at 5:30. Season starts May 12 and runs through the end of August. This is not your typical park district league, there is no experience required and there is no cost to join the league. Robert Oppenheimer play at Waubonsee in Sugar Grove - March 20
Noted humanities scholar and author Clay Jenkinson will portray physicist and "father of the atomic bomb" J. Robert Oppenheimer at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, in the Auditorium of Waubonsee Community College's Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive. English country dancing - Sunday, March 28
English country dancing will meet on Sunday, March 28, at Kuhn Village Barn. The afternoon starts with dances for experienced dancers at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 until 5 p.m. There will be live music by Old Fezziwig's Band. Newcomers are always welcome. Requesting Donations for Fermi Maternity Closet
Employee Relations is launching a maternity closet for Fermilab employees/users and spouses/significant others to recycle maternity clothing. We are requesting donations of new or gently used maternity clothes for the spring/summer seasons. You may donate permanently or on a temporary basis (if you may need to use the clothes again). March 31 Deadline to Enroll Young Adult Dependents
March 31 is the last day to enroll your young adult dependent for health coverage under the special enrollment period. You may add a dependent to your medical and/or dental plan whether or not they are a student effective 1/1/2010, but you must do so by March 31. NALWO Bus Trip to The Museum of Science and Industry - April 24
NALWO - Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory Women’s Organization - The Museum of Science and Industry, 57th Street and Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, Saturday, April 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. “Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry, one of the largest science museums in the world, is home to more than 35,000 artifacts and nearly 14 acres of hands-on exhibits designed to spark scientific inquiry and creativity.” A chartered school bus will be leaving from the Lederman Education Center at 10:00am, and will return at approximately 4:30 p.m. Tour costs: $13/adult, $9/child (children ages 3 to 11). Tour cost includes general admission to the museum. We will also be reserving seats (for an additional charge) for an upcoming showing of “Hubble” in the Omnimax Theater, which you may sign up for when you make your trip reservation. Note: There is a cafeteria at the museum; however, if you would like to bring your lunch, a lunchroom has been reserved for our group to dine in. 2009 Flexible Spending Account Claim Filing
If you did not yet file claims to use all your 2009 Flexible Spending Account money, you can still submit a claim through April 30. For your Healthcare Spending Account, expenses can be incurred through 3/15/2010 to file under the 2009 account. For your Dependent Care Spending Account, expenses can be incurred only through 12/31/2009 to file under the 2009 account. March Fermi Mac Users Group Meeting March 17

Yoga Class Begins March 9
The next Yoga Class will be held on Tuesdays, March 9 - April 27, 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Wilson Hall Auditorium. Class fee for this 8 week session is $85/person.
