NALWO - Annual Autumn Potluck Luncheon - Oct. 2
NALWO, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory Women's Organization will host an annual autumn potluck luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Chez Leon in the Users' Center. Join lab women (guests, visitors, users and employees) as we begin our 2009 fall season. Please bring a dish to share: a casserole, salad, side dish, dessert or whatever you choose. Register by October 1 by calling Margie Nagaitsev at (630) 232-7308, or e-mail mnagaitsev@hotmail.com. Fermilab IDs are no longer required to enter the laboratory, but you will need photo identification.

Prairie Seed Harvest Oct. 3
On Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can take your green-thumb skills to a new level to help restore Fermilab's prairie by collecting native seeds. Some of the seeds replenish nature areas at the laboratory while others help build prairies at area schools. Enter at Pine Street and follow signs to the harvest. Wear field clothes and gloves. Bring hand clippers and paper bags. A picnic lunch will be provided. If you bring a group, contact Roads and Grounds' Bob Lootens at lootens@fnal.gov. A second prairie harvest is scheduled for Oct. 31.

Tai Chi class moves to Thursdays
Tai Chi is a low impact form of exercise for those who want to improve balance, range of motion, flexibility, increase energy, lower blood pressure, core strength and have mind-body harmony at the same time. The class emphasizes core work and posture to help ease lower back pain and relieve tension in shoulders. It is highly beneficial for anyone including those with arthritis, diabetes, joint pain, weight issues, stress or post physical therapy. Can be done seated. Class Dates: Mondays, September 14 - November 16, from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. at Kuhn Barn Upper Level, cost is $65. For more info x2548.

Wilson Hall domestic water service interruption - Sept. 20
There will be a domestic water service interruption which will affect Wilson Hall and Ransey Auditorium this Sunday September 20th, starting at 6 a.m. thru 6 p.m. Wilson Hall will not officially be closed during this outage, however all restrooms will be posted as closed and all drinking fountains will be affected. In anticipation of this service outage, please plan accordingly.

Fermi Kyuki-Do martial arts - next session begins on Sept. 21
Kyuki-Do is a Korean martial art similar to Taekwondo. It will teach you how to kick, punch, block, fall, and basic self defense. Classes are held for six weeks on Monday and Wednesdays from 5-6 p.m. at the Recreation Facility in the Village. You need to register for the class through the Recreation Office. The cost is $55. Beginning students who have never been involved with martial arts will receive a free uniform.

Argentine Tango through Sept. 30
Our new tango series will consist of four classes starting Sept. 9. If you would like to sign up, please send an e-mail to Pamela Noyes at noyes@fnal.gov. Eduardo Villalba will teach the next series of classes. Classes run each Wednesday through Sept. 30 in Ramsey Auditorium. Class set costs $60 per person or $18 per class - and the amount is due on the first day of class. Buttered Rum performs on Fermilab Arts Series Oct. 24

Process piping (ASME B31.3) class offered in October and November
