Accelerator Update for January 20, 2006 - January 23, 2006

Friday January 20

The day shift began with Tevatron (Tev) A4 vacuum repair in progress, the Recycler Ring (RR) stash gone due to studies, Antiproton Source (Pbar) conducting studies, and with MiniBooNE, NuMI and MCenter (MIPP) taking beam.

Main Injector (MI) studies begin at 11:04 AM.

NuMI went off at 3:34 PM due to a power supply (HV101A) problem.

Beam returns to NuMI at 8:01 PM.

Saturday January 21

The midnight shift began with Tevatron (Tev) A4 vacuum repair in progress, the Recycler Ring (RR) stash at 12.7 E10, Pbar conducting studies, and with MiniBooNE, NuMI and MIPP taking beam.

Pbar returns to stacking.

Meson Test (MT) begins taking beam at 11:59 AM.

MT done with beam at 1:38 PM.

Sunday January 22

The midnight shift began with Tevatron (Tev) A4 vacuum repair in progress, the Recycler Ring (RR) stash at 4.8 E10, the Pbar stack at 160.5 E10, and with MiniBooNE, NuMI and MIPP taking beam.

Operations put the Recycler into shot setup at 5:57 AM to stash antiprotons.

Pbar returns to stacking at 7:46 AM, beam also returns to MCenter.

Pbar studies started at 8:00 AM.

Mechanical Support completed A4 vacuum leak repair at 8:42 AM.

A4 cooldown began at 7:45 PM.

Monday January 23

The midnight shift began with Tevatron (Tev) A4 cooling down, the Recycler Ring (RR) stash at 131.9 E10, the Pbar stack at 16.7 E10, and with MiniBooNE, NuMI and MIPP taking beam.

Pbar studies were finished at 12:22 AM.

Pbar studies start up at 7:00 AM.

The Plan for Monday

Continue A4 cooldown, possibly cold by midnight. Continue Pbar studies, run beam to NuMI and MiniBooNE and MIPP. Remove vacuum equipment from the Tevatron tunnel.
