Wavy-lined Emerald Moth

 

Wavy-lined Emerald Moth (Synchlora aerata, Hodges # 7058), Fermilab, DuPage County, Illinois, 18 August 2006.  This is small moth, with a 1-inch wing span or less, commonly found in late summer on our service buildings, having been attracted to the lights at night.
