Linden Looper Moth

 

Linden Looper Moth (Erannis tiliaria, Hodges # 6665), Fermilab, Kane County, Illinois, 27 October 2006.  These moths are very common amazingly late in the season.  On cold October and November evenings they can be seen fluttering around lights.
