Each week, Fermilab Today will publish the safety report compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section. It includes information on injuries reported at the Medical Department as well as the overall safety performance at the lab.

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes two incidents, one of which was recordable. The recordable incident took place when an employee tripped, fell and fractured an elbow.

Tuesday, Aug. 17
This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes four incidents. Two incidents only required first aid. The other two incidents were recordable cases.

Tuesday, Aug. 10
This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes three incidents. One incident involved an airborne particle entering an employee's eye. That employee needed prescription medication, which made the case recordable. No injuries were reported in the other two incidents, which resulted when drivers drivers were backing up their vehicles.

Tuesday, Aug. 3
This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes four incidents. Two incidents resulted in injuries, including one DART case. No injuries were reported in the other two incidents, which resulted when drivers were backing up their vehicles.

Tuesday, July 27
This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes five incidents. Three of those incidents resulted in injuries that required only first aid treatment. One incident, a vehicular accident, did not require any treatment. A fifth incident involved an employee who suffered a strain while filling pumps with oil. This is a DART case.

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes a minor vehicle accident and a first-aid-only injury.

Tuesday, July 13
This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes one DART injury and two first-aid only injuries. The DART case involved an employee who suffered a job-limiting back injury after moving steel tiebars from a vehicle into a building. The first aid-only injuries were both wasp stings.

Two of the injuries were first aid cases that involved an employee who was stung by a wasp and a second employee who sustained superficial lacerations on their hand while pulling cable. The third injury was a DART case that involved an employee who felt lower back pain when bending.
