Fermilab Weekly Safety Report — 2007 Archive

Each week, Fermilab Today will publish the safety report compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section. It includes information on injuries reported at the Medical Department as well as the overall safety performance at the lab.

 

Tuesday, December 25

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes one recordable injury, an employee fall in the parking lot.

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes no recordable injuries.

Tuesday, December 11

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes one reportable case and several first-aid cases. The majority of incidents were related to people walking on ice, on stairs or past equipment.

Tuesday, December 4

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes no reportable cases. Fermilab has now worked 60 days since its last OSHA recordable injury.

Tuesday, November 27

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes no reportable cases. Fermilab has now worked 53 days since its last OSHA recordable injury.

Tuesday, November 20

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, includes no reportable cases. Fermilab has now worked 46 days since its last OSHA recordable injury.

Tuesday, November 13

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, presents the Fermilab injury statistics in a new way. Fermilab now has worked 39 days since its last OSHA recordable injury.

Tuesday, November 6

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, has no reportable injuries. Fermilab has worked 32 days since its last OSHA recordable injury.

This week's safety report, compiled by the Fermilab ES&H section, has one reportable injury.

Tuesday, October 23

The report gives an update on speeding tickets issued at Fermilab, broken down by division and section. In the last nine months Fermilab security handed out 218 speeding tickets and 45 tickets for people failing to stop at a stop sign.

Tuesday, October 16

From January through September 2007, there were 32 accidents involving government vehicles. Of these, 17 were caused by improper backing. The Laboratory Safety Committee has set a goal of reducing the rate of vehicle accidents by half during the next twelve months.
