Volunteers wanted. Ladder Up is a great organization that provides free income tax preparation for low income families and individuals. You can help by preparing tax returns and/or FAFSA forms, assisting with site support (client check-in and coordination), translating and other things. Free training is provided. All returns are prepared by trained/certified volunteers then double checked by trained/certified reviewers. Free e-filing is available but not required. Want to learn to dance or just looking for somewhere to go dancing? Swing ‘n’ Country is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to promote couple-style Country Western and Swing dancing in a positive atmosphere and to provide opportunities for growth through instructional programs and community involvement. There will be Country Two Step lessons in February and Waltz lessons in March on Wednesday nights in Franklin Park. There are also Friday night dances with lessons before the dance, usually on the first and third Friday nights each month.
