Volunteers wanted. Ladder Up is a great organization that provides free income tax preparation for low income families and individuals. You can help by preparing tax returns and/or FAFSA forms, assisting with site support (client check-in and coordination), translating and other things. Free training is provided. All returns are prepared by trained/certified volunteers then double checked by trained/certified reviewers. Free e-filing is available but not required. There are tax prep locations in the city and at many suburban locations as well. If you are looking for a way to give back to the community, this is a very good program. Check out their website: Navigate to the volunteer tab for more info. Contact: or Suzanne (630)890-0480.

Want to learn to dance or just looking for somewhere to go dancing? Swing ‘n’ Country is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to promote couple-style Country Western and Swing dancing in a positive atmosphere and to provide opportunities for growth through instructional programs and community involvement. There will be Country Two Step lessons in February and Waltz lessons in March on Wednesday nights in Franklin Park. There are also Friday night dances with lessons before the dance, usually on the first and third Friday nights each month. You do not have to come with a partner; we rotate partners frequently during the lessons. See schedule at Contact: or Suzanne at
