Volunteers wanted, Ladder Up is a great organization that provides free income tax preparation for low income families and individuals. You can help by preparing tax returns and/or FAFSA forms, assisting with site support (client check-in and coordination), translating and other things. Free training is provided. All returns are prepared by trained/certified volunteers then double checked by trained/certified reviewers. Free e-filing is available but not required. There are tax prep locations in the city and at many suburban locations as well. If you are looking for a way to give back to the community, this is a very good program. Check out their website: http://www.goladderup.org Navigate to the volunteer tab for more info. Contact: pasek@fnal.gov or Suzanne (630)890-0480.
