Road closure near CDF building beginning Apr. 17
Motorists should expect temporary road closures starting Tuesday, Apr. 17, on Road D in the vicinity of the Industrial Complex/CDF. More detail will be provided in an upcoming issue of Fermilab Today.

Blood drive needs Apr. 16-17
Heartland is experiencing a shortage of O-, A+, A- and B- blood. If you are able to participate during the Apr. 16-17 blood drive please do. If you can't make it to the blood drive please consider going to a blood donation center during this time of need. Thanks to everyone for sharing the gift of life.

Barn Dance Apr. 15
The Fermilab Folk Club presents a Barn Dance on Sunday, Apr. 15 at 2 p.m. in the Kuhn Village Barn with music by Chirps & Fred and calling by Dot Kent. Everyone is welcome. You don't need to know anything, just come and have fun! Admission is $6, children under 12 are free, 12 to 18 year olds and people over 65 are $3. Argentine Tango Classes, Take Your First Class for Free!
Learn to dance Argentine Tango with Daniel Noce of Tango Che! Daniel Noce is a native Argentinian where he trained in Argentine tango and folklore. You can learn more about him at http://www.tangoche.com/Welcome.html. Daniel would like to invite you to take your first Argentine Tango class for free. Tango classes are held each Wednesday in Ramsey Auditorium. Tango Basic Class: 7 to 8 p.m.; Intermediate Tango: 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. Student discount, pay per class or class pass packages are available, sign-up at class. All levels welcome! NALWO and Fermi Garden Club - Plant and Seed Exchange Event on Apr. 14
Come on Apr. 14 between 10AM - 1PM to the Users Center parking lot to give away your unwanted plants or to receive a freebee. Dig up your surplus plants, count your leftover seeds, prepare your extra herbs and bring them to exchange or give away. Please include basic info with seeds/plants - like shade or sun loving, how tall when grown, etc. You can come to give and come to receive! You don't have to bring plants or seeds to receive! NALWO - Buffalo Barn Tour and Luncheon on Apr. 26
Starting at 11 AM at Site 53, Fermilab Bison program staff will show us through the barn and corral system and answer questions about the program. Be prepared to walk outside and wear shoes that can get dirty. We will NOT be allowed to go inside the fence. Also, the reason will be explained why there are no calves expected this spring. NALWO - Spring Tea on Thursday, May 10
NALWO invites you to attend our Spring Tea hosted by Barbara Oddone to be held in her home from 11 AM to 1 PM at Site #29, by the Wilson Street Gate. Heartland Blood Drive Apr. 16-17
Fermilab will host a walk-in only Heartland Blood Drive Apr. 16 and 17 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the WH ground floor training room. Anyone interested in giving a DRC donation should contact Diana at x3771 for an appointment. This will help collect the most units possible for those in need. If you have questions about eligibility please stop by the blood drive and speak to a Heartland representative.

Women of Fermilab
Remember those summer days when all the neighborhood kids got together and played softball. Well, the Fermilab Softball League needs your help. The league needs women players. There is no cost to play and there is no experienced required, just come out and have some fun. The league currently has five teams and they are all in need of women players so there is no waiting list to play. Games are on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 5:30 in the village. Fermilab Summer Day Camp Registration deadline Apr. 16
Day Camp information and registration applications are now available in the Benefits Office WH15W, The Children's Center and the Housing Office. Children age 7-12 who are dependents of Fermi employees, visitors or contractors are elibigle to attend Day Camp. Camp will consist of 11 one week sessions beginning June 4. All applications and a $25.00 deposit per session, per child must be turned in to The Children's Center by close of business on Apr. 16. Counselor in Training Program offered on a limited basis for 13 and 14 year old students. Please contact Mary or Patti at x3762 for information.

Changarro restaurant offers 15% discount to employees
Changarro Restaurant located at 1400 S. Neltnor (Rt. 59 & 38) is now offering a discount to Fermilab employees. Show Fermi I.D. for 15% off the cost of food only. Scottish country dancing meets Tuesday evenings in Kuhn Village Barn
Silk and Thistle Scottish Country Dancing is held Kuhn Village Barn every Tuesday from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The group is taught by Doug Jensen. Most dances are walked through and newcomers are always welcome. Newcomers are always welcome. International folk dancing meets Thursday evenings in Kuhn Village Barn
Fermilab International Folk Dancing meets every Thursday evening in Kuhn Village Barn from 7:30 to 10 p.m. There are dances for children and teaching early in the evening and request dancing later on. Monday Night Golf League
The Monday night golf league will play at Tanna Farms on Hughes Road in Geneva with a start date of Apr. 23 for a total of 16 weeks. The cost is $25.00 to join the league with a course fee of $25.00 per week which includes a mandatory cart fee. The course will allow us to play as many holes as we can up to 18, but only the first 9 are used for score keeping. The format is Individual Medal Play. Fermilab Golf League
The weather is changing and your clubs are getting anxious. Do them a favor and play more golf this summer! The Fermilab Golf League is starting it's 2012 season and is looking for golfers. We have leagues at three different local courses on different evenings during the week. Our leagues have golfers of all abilities (some even play left-handed). The leagues offer structured, friendly, handicapped team competition. Openings exist for golfers playing once a week and those interested in substituting once in a while. 2012 CTEQ-Fermilab school on QCD and electroweak phenomenology
This is the first announcement of the 2012 CTEQ-Fermilab Schoolon QCD and Electroweak Phenomenology, to be held in Lima Peru. The primary goal of this year's CTEQ school will be to provide a focused introduction to perturbative quantum chromodynamics and electroweak physics with applications to LHC and Intensity Frontier experiments. The school is ideally suited for advanced graduate students and young postdocs. For further information, including application procedures, please refer to the School website.

Fermilab Management Practices courses are now available for registration
The Office for Profesional and Organization Development has scheduled a session of Fermilab Management Practices (FMP)which includes: Managing within the Law, Job Descriptions and Employment, Behavioral Inteviewing, Interaction Management, Performance Review and Fermilab Functions.
