Cashier's office close on holiday
The Cashier's Office will close at 4 pm on Dec. 22 and reopen at 12:30 pm on Jan. 4.

International Folk Dancing meets Dec. 23, not Dec. 30, resumes weekly Jan. 6
International Folk Dancing will meet Thursday, Dec. 23, for a Holiday Party and again on Jan. 6 to resume weekly Thursday dancing in the New Year. They will not meet Dec. 30. Dancing is held from 7:30-10 p.m. at Kuhn Village Barn. There are dances for children and teaching early in the evening and request dancing later on. Newcomers are always welcome. Scottish country dancing meets Dec. 21, Jan 4, but not Dec. 28
Silk and Thistle Scottish Country Dancing will meet Tuesday, Dec. 21, for a Holiday Party and again on Jan. 4 to resume weekly meeting in the New Year. They will not meet Dec. 28. Dancing is held from 7:30-10 p.m. at Kuhn Village Barn.Most dances are walked through and newcomers are always welcome. Project Management Introduction class - Feb. 14, 16 & 18
This class is targeted at individuals interested in pursuing a project management career path, current project team members, newly formed project teams and project management personnel responsible for system or software development, research and development, engineering and construction type projects. Cafeteria holiday hours Dec. 20 - Jan. 1
The Wilson Hall Cafeteria hours over the holidays are:
Dec. 20-22: 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Dec. 23: 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Dec. 24-25: closed
Dec. 27-29: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Dec. 30: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Dec. 31 and Jan. 1: Closed

Users Center closed Dec. 20 - Jan 7
The Users Center will be closed from Dec 20 through Jan 7. It will reopen on Monday, Jan. 10, at its usual time, Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Transportation Services holiday service closed Dec. 23 and 30
In observance of the holiday season, the Transportation Services Dept. will be closed for the ENTIRE day on Thursday, Dec. 23 & 30. The following groups will not be providing services on those days: Taxi Service, Shipping Services (FedEx/UPS), Motor Pool, Vehicle Maintenance, Receiving, Distribution, Mailroom & Stockroom. Reminder Timecards due early for Week of Dec 20 - 26
Employees submit their timecard by 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27. Supervisors have all timecards approved by 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27. Pay day for non exempt employees for this week will be Thursday, Dec. 30. Pay day for exempt employees for month of December will be Thursday, Dec. 30. Please note that Dec. 30 is a half holiday for Fermilab. Payroll Dept. will be open until noon. If the timecard can be completed & approved before Monday required date it would be appreciated, however it’s not mandatory.

Timecard Instructions for Non Exempt Employees working on half holiday
How to report the Half Holiday for Christmas Eve & New Years Eve. Fermilab will observe the half holidays on Dec. 23 & Dec. 30 for all Non Exempt employees that work on the half holiday: You must enter the work rule HALF HOLIDAY in the Transfer column when reporting hours worked on the half holiday. This is necessary whether you work the normal 4 hours or if you work more than 4 hours. If you will be off the entire day as half holiday and half vacation or float holiday then you do not need to use the work rule transfer of Half Holiday. Submit a topic suggestion for Disability Awareness Seminar
Unity Coat, Fermilab Disability Awareness Group, is seeking new seminar topics, speakers, and members. Past topics have included Spinal Cord Injury, Elder Care, Osteoarthitis, Americans with Disabilities Act, Autism, Fibromyalgia, Down Syndrome, and Bullying. Collaborative efforts included a summer safety presentation with the Fermilab Medical Office, an emergency evaucation bookmark with ES&H, and two seminars on Nuerological Brain Disorders with the Wellness Committee. It also sponsors the Needles & Threads project for cancer awareness. For additional information contact kjohnson@fnal.gov.

Guided Practicas for Argentine Tango thru Dec. 29
For Dec., Tango at Fermilab will hold guided practicas each Wednesday with Daniel and Ramona from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Ramsey Auditorium. ALL Tango Levels welcome! This is your opportunity to fine tune your steps, whether it's the Basic Step, Walking, Ochos, Molinetes or maybe you haven't danced in a while and would like to get back in the swing without pressure. Whatever the case, Daniel and Ramona will be available for guidance when needed. The Guided Practicas are open Dec. 8, 15, 22, and 29; from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and the cost is $10 per person, for more information contact noyes@fnal.gov

Open Basketball at the Gym
Open basketball is offered at the gym Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am - 1pm. Most players arrive about 11:30am for a lunchtime pick-up game. They would welcome more participants. Users Office Holiday Hours
The Users office will be closed on Dec. 23, 24, 30 and 31 for the Christmas Holiday. If you need an ID renewal during that time, please make it a point to come to our office before the days listed above. Normal Users Office hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm. If you need a rental car from Pilot’s Leasing, and did not reserve one in advance, please visit the communications office located on the ground floor of the Wilson Hall, next to the Key and ID Office.

Accelerate to a Healthy Lifestyle Program through Dec. 31
ES&H is rolling out its 2nd annual "Accelerate to a Healthy Lifestyle" program which kicks off Oct. 1. The event will run from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31. The goal is to exercise three days per week for 30 minutes. Eastbound Butterfield Road closed until Dec. 20
Because of pipeline work, the Illinois Department of Transportation has closed the eastbound lane of Butterfield Road between Eola Road and Route 59 through December 20. IDOT has posted detour signs at Eola Road, rerouting traffic south on Eola Road and then east to Route 59 and then back to Butterfield Road.

Fermilab Blood Drive December 20 & 21 (Walk in only)
Fermilab Blood Drive Aug. 30 and 31 (Walk in only) Heartland Blood Centers will take donations in the Wilson Hall ground floor NE Training Room Dec. 20 9-2 p.m. and 21 8-1 p.m. This drive will be walk-in only for whole blood donations.
