Free 10-Minute Holiday Wellness Massages Dec. 15 and Dec. 16
Book your free 10-minute massage. Two days and two locations. Wednesday, Dec. 15, Users Center Music Room, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, Wilson Hall EOC Ground Floor Training Room, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Call Jeanne in the Wellness Office at x2548 to schedule your free 10-minute massage, or email jkoester@fnal.gov.

School's Day Out Camp
Childcare for school age children (7-12 years) will be offered at Kuhn Barn from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Dec. 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29. Cost is $25.00 per day/per camper. Enrollment will be accepted until noon on Wed., Dec. 15. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. The program will be cancelled if less than 7 register. Campers will need to bring a lunch. A refrigerator and microwave are available. Beverage at lunch, morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Weight Watchers Introduces New PointsPlus Program
What's your New Year's Resolution? Based on the latest weight loss science, Weight Watchers has introduced a major change in their weight loss program. They have revamped how PointsPlus values are calculated to take into account all the components that make up calories: protein, carbs, fat and fiber. We can offer a 13 week "at work" program for $156 with a minimum of 15 people. This would also include 14 weeks of free eTools (a $45 value). Barn Dance Dec. 12
The Fermilab Folk Club presents a Barn Dance on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kuhn Village Barn with music by Entwyned and calling by Meg Dedolph. Everyone is welcome. Admission is $6. Submit a topic suggestion for Disability Awareness Seminar
Unity Coat, Fermilab Disability Awareness Group, is seeking new seminar topics, speakers, and members. Past topics have included Spinal Cord Injury, Elder Care, Osteoarthitis, Americans with Disabilities Act, Autism, Fibromyalgia, Down Syndrome, and Bullying. Collaborative efforts included a summer safety presentation with the Fermilab Medical Office, an emergency evaucation bookmark with ES&H, and two seminars on Nuerological Brain Disorders with the Wellness Committee. Fermilab Arts Series presents "A Celtic Christmas"
Tomáseen Foley’s A Celtic Christmas recreates the joy and innocence of a night before Christmas in a farmhouse in the remote parish in the west of Ireland, when the neighbors gather around the fire to grace the long wintry night with the laughter of their stories, the joy of their music, and dances they always said they were much too old for. Join Grammy winning guitarist William Coulter, storyteller Tomaseen Foley,vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Marianne Knight (button accordion, flute, whistle and bodhran), fiddler and dancer Katie Linnane, and Brian Bigby on flute, pipes & whistles. Fermilab Art Gallery - Artist Reception Dec. 10 5:00-7:00pm - Painting Demo Dec. 15 11:30
On Friday, Dec. 10 from 5:00-7:00pm we will host the artist reception for William Worcester a local landscape painter. Guided Practicas for Argentine Tango thru Dec. 29
For Dec., Tango at Fermilab will hold guided practicas each Wednesday with Daniel and Ramona from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Ramsey Auditorium. ALL Tango Levels welcome! This is your opportunity to fine tune your steps, whether it's the Basic Step, Walking, Ochos, Molinetes or maybe you haven't danced in a while and would like to get back in the swing without pressure. Whatever the case, Daniel and Ramona will be available for guidance when needed. Fermilab Today holiday schedule
Fermilab Today will not publish on Nov. 25 and 26 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The last issue of Fermilab Today in 2010 will appear on Tuesday, Dec. 21. Fermilab Today will resume publication on Monday, Jan. 3.

Open Basketball at the Gym
Open basketball is offered at the gym Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am - 1pm. Most players arrive about 11:30am for a lunchtime pick-up game. They would welcome more participants. Folk Dancing weekly on Thursdays in Dec.
Fermilab International Folk Dancing will not meet on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 25, but will resume at Kuhn Village Barn and meet every Thursday through Dec. 23. Dancing begins at 7:30 p.m., with dances for children and teaching early in the evening and request dancing later on. Newcomers are always welcome. Card Stampers Meet Dec. 14 in Small Dining Room
Do you like card stamping? Join other stampers on Tuesday, Dec. 14, in Wilson Hall first floor small dining room anytime between 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Allow about an hour. $10/person. Free Martial Arts Class Dec. 15
There will be a free one-hour trial class of Kyuki-Do, a Korean martial art, on Dec. 15 at 5:00pm in the gym at the Recreations Center. You well learn basic stretches and exercises, kicks and punches, and some self defense. We will demonstrate some advanced techniques and forms. Please wear lose, comfortable clothes, and be prepared to work up a little sweat. Chez Leon Lunch Added for Friday, Dec. 17
Due to the overwhelming requests for the Holiday Lunch at Chez Leon this year, another lunch has been added for Friday, Dec. 17, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The menu will be the same as Wednesday, the 15th (Crab Cakes w/ Red Pepper Mayo, Lemon Orzo, Sautéed Spinach w/ Garlic, and Chocolate Raspberry Torte). Annual potluck party and skits Dec. 17
Fermilab will host its second annual winter skit and potluck party Dec. 17. A potluck dinner will take place in the Wilson Hall atrium from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Employees, users and contractors and their families are welcome. Those attending the potluck should bring enough food to share with 20 people. After dinner from 7 to 9 p.m., employees and users will showcase their talents through skits, songs and soothing melodies.

Symposium celebrates 25th anniversary of first collision at Tevatron Dec. 17
A series of talks from 1:00 to 4:45 p.m. Dec. 17 in Ramsey Auditorium will highlight the construction of the Tevatron and the scientific successes acheived with its consistently improving luminosity. The talks are open to all.

Fermilab Blood Drive December 20 & 21 (Walk in only)
Fermilab Blood Drive Aug. 30 and 31 (Walk in only) Heartland Blood Centers will take donations in the Wilson Hall ground floor NE Training Room Dec. 20 9-2 p.m. and 21 8-1 p.m. This drive will be walk-in only for whole blood donations. Users Office Holiday Hours
The Users office will be closed on Dec. 23, 24, 30 and 31 for the Christmas Holiday. If you need an ID renewal during that time, please make it a point to come to our office before the days listed above. Normal Users Office hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm. If you need a rental car from Pilot’s Leasing, and did not reserve one in advance, please visit the communications office located on the ground floor of the Wilson Hall, next to the Key and ID Office.

Accelerate to a Healthy Lifestyle Program through Dec. 31
ES&H is rolling out its 2nd annual "Accelerate to a Healthy Lifestyle" program which kicks off Oct. 1. The event will run from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31. The goal is to exercise three days per week for 30 minutes. FNPRT service upgrade Dec. 9
The FNPRT service will be moved to new hardware and software on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 9 There is nothing you need to do to start using the new service. The upgrade should be transparent to you. New documentation about FNPRT is available here http://computing.fnal.gov/printing/fnprt/index.html . ES&H Databases will be unavailable Wednesday morning from 6:00-8:00 a.m. for system patching. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Indian Creek Road will be closed at the MI-8 on Wednesday, Dec. 8 and Thursday, Dec. 9
Indian Creek Road will be closed at the MI-8 Service Building again on Wednesday, Dec. 8 and Thursday, Dec. 9. This closure will start at 7:00 am and end at 3:30 pm each day. Please remember to use extreme caution whenever you are near any construction area.

Node registration unavailable Dec. 2
On Thursday, Dec. 2 at 9 a.m. network maintenance will begin in order to switch to a new product. At this time, the node registration service will be unavailable. Maintenance will continue on Monday, Dec. 6 from 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and then again on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 6:30 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. Node registration will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 7. This work should be transparent to the majority of people. If you experience network problems during this time, please contact the Fermilab Service Desk by calling (630) 840-2345.
