Indian Creek road closed until 3:30 pm Friday and Monday
Indian Creek Road will be closed at MI-8 from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, and Monday, Sept. 20. Access to MI-10 will be available via Kautz Road during these periods.

Health and Wellness Fair Sept. 23
Fermilab Health & Wellness Fair is Thursday, Sept. 23 from 11:30 p.m to 1:00 p.m in the Wilson Hall Atrium. Visit vendor booths. Learn about healthy aging. Sign up for giveaways. There's still room in Family Science Time - Saturday, Sept. 25
There's still room in Family Science Time on Saturday, Sept. 25. Join us for a special family adventure for parents and children in grades 1-7. Explore science with your children through hands-on stations, projects, puzzles, and demonstrations and take home a science toy at the end of the day. The adventure takes place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., $10 for one adult and child; $4 for each additional person. Toastmasters - Oct. 7
Bring your lunch and join us for 45 minutes in the Wilson Hall 7th Floor Racetrack Thursday, Oct. 7 starting at 12:05. In Toastmaster, you will learn self-growth, how to plan and relax, how to present an idea to whether you have time to prepare or just 10 seconds. You will learn to listen and think effectively, how to prepare and give speeches with confidence and in a wide range of situations. Looking for league bowlers
The Combined FermiLab & Nicor Wednesday Night bowling league (FERMTHERM’s) is looking for a few bowlers (or complete teams). This is a sanctioned mixed league with both Fermilab & NICOR employees + friends. Bowling starts at 5:30 p.m. Cost: $15/week includes bowling and prize funds. Place: Bowling Green Sports Center, 30W150 Roosevelt Road, West Chicago, IL (On Rt. 38 one mile west of Rt. 59). Phone: (630)231-2400. The 30-week season starts on Sept. 8 and ends on March 30, 2011. Martial Arts Classes Sept. 20
Kyuki-Do is a Korean martial art similar to Taekwondo. The Next Fermi Kyuki-Do Martial Arts session begins on Sept. 20. I will teach you how to kick, punch, block, throw and fall, and basic self defense. Classes are held for six weeks on Monday and Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Recreation Facility in the Village. You need to register for the class through the Recreation Office. The cost is $55.00. You do not need a gym membership to join this class. I will supply a free uniform to students who have never participated in martial arts before. My class size is limited to eight students.

School's Out Day Camp
On Oct. 11, childcare for school age children (7-12 years) will be offered at Kuhn Barn from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Cost is $25.00 per camper. Enrollment will be accepted until noon on Wednesday, Oct. 6. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. The program will be cancelled if less than 7 campers register. Campers will need to bring a lunch. A refrigerator and microwave are available. Beverage at lunch, morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Silk and Thistle Scottish dancing resumes at the Barn Tuesdays from Sept. 7
Silk and Thistle Scottish Country Dancing will move back to Kuhn Village Barn beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7, and will continue there every Tuesday from 7:30 - 10 p.m. The group is taught by Doug Jensen. Fermilab International Folk Dancing resumes at the Barn Thursdays from Sept. 9
Fermilab International Folk Dancing will move back to Kuhn Village Barn beginning Thursday, Sept. 9, and will continue there every Thursday starting at 7:30 p.m., except for Sept. 23, when they will meet in Ramsey Auditorim. There are dances for children and teaching early in the evening and request dancing later on. Newcomers are always welcome. Argentine Tango, Wednesdays through September 29
Our new series of four tango classes starts Wednesday, September 8, with instructors Daniel Noce and Ramona Nita. Classes are held each Wednesday in Ramsey Auditorium, Class dates: September. 8, 15, 22, 29. Regal Movie Theater discount tickets available
The Recreation Department now has Regal Movie Theater Discount Tickets available. Regal Theaters recently purchased the AMC Cantera 30 in Warrenville. Other Regal locations include Bolingbrook Stadium 12, Lake Zurich 12 and Crystal Lake Showplace Stadium 16. We have $8 unrestricted tickets and $7 restricted use tickets available. IMAX and 3D are subject to a surcharge at the theater.

Gizmo Guys - Fermilab Arts Series - Sept. 25

Family Science Time - Saturday, Sept. 25
This special family science adventure is for children in grades 1-7 and their parents. You don't need to be an expert to help your children explore their world through science! Lunch and learn about Proton Beam Therapy for Cancer

Fox Valley Robotics info meetings September 17 & 18
