DSD at User's Center on Sept. 10
The Drug Sniffing Dogs will be having a live practice at the User's Center, Friday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m.

Fox Valley Robotics info meetings September 17 & 18
For those who missed the LegoDogs 5th-8th grade Sept. 10 informational meeting there will be another one for students and parents on Friday, Sept. 17 at 7:00 p.m. in Rotolo Middle School's Multipurpose Room. The Coyotes 9th-12th grade informational meeting will be on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 1:00 p.m. in the same location. Robotics encourages STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ReadyTalk Tutorial Sept. 10
eadyTalk is replacing MeetingPlace as the ECS phone conferencing system on Sept. 30. A ReadyTalk tutorial will be held Sept. 10 in WH7X from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Stop by to learn about the new audio/web collaboration service.

Silk and Thistle Scottish dancing resumes at the Barn Tuesdays from Sept. 7
Silk and Thistle Scottish Country Dancing will move back to Kuhn Village Barn beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7, and will continue there every Tuesday from 7:30 - 10 p.m. The group is taught by Doug Jensen. Toastmaster Sept. 16
Bring your lunch and join us in the Wilson Hall 7th Floor Racetrack Thursday, Sept. 16 at Noon. Fermilab International Folk Dancing resumes at the Barn Thursdays from Sept. 9
Fermilab International Folk Dancing will move back to Kuhn Village Barn beginning Thursday, Sept. 9, and will continue there every Thursday starting at 7:30 p.m., except for Sept. 23, when they will meet in Ramsey Auditorim. There are dances for children and teaching early in the evening and request dancing later on. Newcomers are always welcome. Regal Movie Theater discount tickets available
The Recreation Department now has Regal Movie Theater Discount Tickets available. Regal Theaters recently purchased the AMC Cantera 30 in Warrenville. Other Regal locations include Bolingbrook Stadium 12, Lake Zurich 12 and Crystal Lake Showplace Stadium 16. We have $8 unrestricted tickets and $7 restricted use tickets available. IMAX and 3D are subject to a surcharge at the theater.

Fermilab Lecture Series Presents A Croc Odyssey: Speedy Gallopers with a Taste for Dinosaur
The Lecture Series kicks off with a talk by Paleontologist Dr. Paul Sereno, University of Chicago. Follow the expeditions that discovered a menagerie of new extinct crocs. Meet colossal SuperCroc, fearsome BoarCroc, agile DogCroc and bizarre DuckCroc, as Sereno paints a vivid picture of these extinct African castaways and tangles with their living descendants to unravel the evolutionary story. Sereno’s latest discovery is a site dating back to a time before the pyramids some 10,000 years ago, these people inhabited a “Green Sahara” that was home to 6-foot long perch,crocs and hippos. Family Science Time - Saturday, Sept. 25
This special family science adventure is for children in grades 1-7 and their parents. You don't need to be an expert to help your children explore their world through science! Online Service Desk ticket system down 6-8 a.m. Wednesday
The system that Fermilab network or computer users use to open Service Desk tickets will be inaccessible between 6-8 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8. The console will be down to apply operating system and database patches. Please contact the Service Desk at x2345 during the downtime if you have any questions or concerns.

Looking for league bowlers
The Combined FermiLab & Nicor Wednesday Night bowling league (FERMTHERM’s) is looking for a few bowlers (or complete teams). This is a sanctioned mixed league with both Fermilab & NICOR employees + friends. Bowling starts at 5:30 p.m. Cost: $15/week includes bowling and prize funds.
