Introduction to Argentine Tango Series of Classes - FREE
If you have ever wanted to try Argentine Tango, this is your chance for Free. Qi Gong, Mindfulness and Tai Chi Easy for Stress Reduction
This is a FREE weekly wellness class in moving meditation practices for vitality, wellness and stress reduction. We practice gentle movement, breath awareness, self-applied massage, and relaxation practice with guided meditation and visualization to foster higher immune system function, reduce reactivity, and activate internal healing resources. This is not a formal, martial Tai Chi class – but may serve as an introduction to the structured forms. Ongoing Fridays beginning Feb. 5, 12:00 p.m to 12:45 p.m., Wilson Hall Auditorium. Applications accepted for awards in URA Visiting Scholars program
Universities Research Association, Inc. (URA) has announced a deadline of Feb. 19 for the submission of applications for the spring 2010 cycle of awards in the URA Visiting Scholars Program at Fermilab. Successful applicants will be notified at the end of March. These awards provide financial support for faculty and students from URA's 87 member universities to work at Fermilab for periods of up to one year. URA makes two rounds of awards each year, in the spring and fall. The application deadline for the fall 2010 cycle will be in August. Successful applicants will be notified in September. Kyuki-Do Martial Arts Classes Begins Feb. 15
The Next Fermi Kyuki-Do Martial Arts session begins on February 15. You will learn how to kick, punch, block, throw and fall, and basic self defense. Classes are held for six weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at the Recreation Facility in the Village. You need to register for the class through the Recreation Office. The cost is $55.00. You do not need a gym membership to join this class. Kyuki-Do classes are ongoing throughout the year. I will supply a free uniform to new students who have never participated in martial arts before.

Barn Dance Feb. 21
The Fermilab Folk Club presents a Barn Dance on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kuhn Village Barn with music by the Common Taters and calling by Walter Hojka. Everyone is welcome. Ask HR Sessions to be held at the Computing Division and Wilson Hall - Feb. 23-25
Do you have questions or need information about your benefits? The Benefits Office Staff will be available to answer your questions and provide general information about your Fermilab benefits on Wednesday, February 24 at the Computing Division, FCC 1 West, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Benefits Staff will also be available on Tuesday, February 23 and Thursday, February 25 in the Wilson Hall Atrium from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Fermi Martial Arts Classes
A new six-week session just started. It's not to late to sign up and begin learning a new skill as well as getting some good aerobic workouts. Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Immigration Law Information Session - March 1
Two attorneys specializing in Immigration Law will be here to discuss a range of immigration issues including: Preliminary background information, Description of agencies, immigration process, potential delays, Extraodinary Ability Visa, National Interest Waiver, Options for H1B holders at all points during their status. Art Gallery Talk - Virginia Broersma - March 10
On March 10, Virginia Broersma will be discussing her exhibition “I live in a duplex” which includes her latest series of double portrait paintings as well as selected pieces from earlier bodies of work. Virginia has been working primarily with the medium of painting since finishing her BFA and has been navigating the challenges of being an artist, and even more specifically, being a female artist. 2010 standard mileage reimbursement rate
The Internal Revenue Service and the General Services Administration have issued the 2010 standard mileage reimbursement rate for non Government owned vehicles. Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory Women's Organization - NALWO - Invites you to a “Brown-Bag” Lunch Program featuring: “Ukrainian Egg Decorating” presented by Elena Pavlova, Monday, February 22 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Music Room at the Users’ Center. Bring your lunch, and come to learn the art of Ukrainian egg decorating called “Pysanky”. The ancient history of the Pysanka has been lost, as the eggs are fragile, however, the tradition of decorating continues today, as the art is passed from generation to generation.
