Travelers must complete profile for TSA
Effective immediately, the Fermilab Travel Office requires all Fermilab travelers, travel arrangers and users to complete a travel profile that includes your name, birth date, home address, emergency contact details, business e-mail, business phone number and Fermilab ID number. The TSA requires airlines to collect additional passenger data for their flights. To comply with the requirements and to minimize delays at security check points, the Fermilab Travel Office will transmit information collected from you to the airlines. Argentine Tango at Fermilab Nov. 4 through Dec. 9
Our new series of 5 tango classes starts Wed., Nov 4, if you would like to sign up, please send an e-mail to Pamela Noyes, at noyes@fnal.gov . Outstanding Chicago tango dancers, Daniel Noce and Ramona Nita will teach the next series of classes. Class schedule Nov. 4, 11, 18 and Dec. 2 and 9 in Ramsey Auditorium. No Class Nov. 25. International folk dancing, Thursday evenings at Kuhn Village Barn beginning Nov. 5
International Folk Dancing meets every week on Thursday from 7:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at Kuhn Village Barn. There are dances for children and teaching early in the evening and request dancing later on. Fermilab's NALWO History of Wool Brown Bag Lunch - Nov. 10
NALWO - Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory Women's Organization invites you to a “Brown-Bag” Lunch Program featuring: “The History of Wool” presented by Natasha Lehrer, Tuesday, November 10 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. beside the fireplace at the Users’ Center. Bring your lunch, and join us for this informal gathering as we hear from Natasha Lehrer, founder of Esther’s Place, a fiber arts studio, located in Big Rock, Illinois. As Natasha describes, “By the time Illinois found itself in a war between the states, spinning wheels and looms were being replaced by machines and factories, industrializing these revered arts so common and known to the nation’s people.” Join us as Natasha offers us a glimpse of the past, while giving us a close up look at the community for fiber artists, educators and fiber producers that is alive and well at Esther’s Place today. It takes place in 1843 on the night that Charles Dickens dreams up his idea for a ghostly little Christmas book that becomes world famous. English country dancing, Nov. 1, with live music

Fermi Martial Arts Classes beginning Nov. 2
A new session of Kyuki-Do classes begins next week. Kyuki-Do is a Korean martial art based on taekwondo. You will learn how to kick, punch, judo throws, falls, and self defense. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at the Recreation Facility in the Village. A session is normally six weeks, but this session will have a one week break. The cost for this five week session is $45. A uniform will be supplied for students who have never taken a martial arts class before. Only eight students can participate at a time, so register early. Volunteer opportunity meeting – Nov. 6
