Time to complete accomplishment reports
It is that time of year to reflect on our past year’s performance. Please note the following forms must be completed in July: • 2008-2009 accomplishment report (completed by employee) • 2008-2009 performance review form (completed by manager). East lab gate closed June 22-26
Between early morning on June 22 and late afternoon on June 26 Fermilab’s East entrance will be closed to allow Canadian National Railway to make repairs to the tracks and crossing in that area. All traffic that normally enters through that gate will need to enter through the Pine Street or Wilson Street gates on the West side.

Free upper body 30-minute workout - June 25
Join us at the Recreation Facility for a basic upper body workout targeting muscles of the chest, back, shoulders and arms allowing you to improve your overall upper body strength. Free session offered, Thursday, June 25, 4:45-5:15 p.m. Please wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes. Gym membership NOT required. On-site housing-fall 2009/spring 2010
The Fermilab Housing Office is now taking requests for on-site houses, apartments, and dormitory rooms for the remainder of 2009 and the spring of 2010. Please submit your request to the Housing Office by Monday, July 20. Requests can be for any period and need not commence on any particular date. Pool memberships available in the Recreation Department
The Recreation Department will be selling pool memberships from now until August. You may purchase membership at the Recreation Office in Wilson Hall 15 West from 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Single membership $80, family membership (2-4 members) $180 with additional family members $10 each. Children 2 and under are free. Children's swim lesson information will also be available. Forms are available in the Recreation Office, or on the Recreation Website at http://wdrs.fnal.gov/recreation/pool.html.

Argentine Tango classes through June 24
Our new series of 5 tango classes starts Wednesday, May 20, if you would like to sign up, please send an e-mail to Pamela Noyes, at noyes@fnal.gov. Outstanding Chicago tango dancers, Daniel Noce and Ramona Nita will teach the next series of classes. Classes run each Wed. thru June 24 in Ramsey Auditorium. No Class June 3. Conserve Water! Support FNA with a Rain Barrel Purchase
Fermilab Natural Areas (FNA) is taking advance orders for rain barrels. The barrels are recovered food-grade plastic barrels fitted with an inlet screen and a spigot to dispense the water. They are available in black, blue, gray and terra-cotta for $85 each. Wood platforms to raise the barrels off the ground are $20. Fermi Kyuki-Do Martial Arts session begins June 22
Kyuki-Do is a Korean martial art similar to Taekwondo. In the class you will learn how to kick, punch, block, fall, and basic self defense. Classes are held for six weeks on Monday and Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Recreation Facility in the Village. You need to register through the Recreation Office and also be a member of the Recreation Facility.

Donors needed for Fermilab Blood Drive June 23 & 24. Give a pint - Get a quart of Oberweis Ice Cream
Fermilab will host a blood drive on June 23 & 24 in support of the Heartland Blood Centers located in the NE training room on the ground floor of Wilson Hall. June 23 from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m and June 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please schedule an appointment on the ES&H home page at http://www-esh.fnal.gov or by calling Diana at x3771 or Margie at x5680. If you have type O blood or type B blood please consider a DRC donation as it helps many more people than a whole blood donation can. It adds about 15 minutes to the donation process and 2 parking spaces reserved for donors both days.

Taking Control of Stress - June 24

Environmental Safety and Health Fair - June 29
Come to the Environment Safety & Health Fair and have some fun. You will gain awareness of summer safety hazards and safety concerns. Get to know your Senior Safety Officer (SSO) and other safety personnel from all our divisions and sections. Topics that will be covered include: Motorcycle & Bicycle safety, hazardous weather, flu, travel, West Nile and many others. Volunteers needed for Fermilab Prairie Quadrat Study - June 30
The Education Office is looking for volunteers, both adults and teenagers, to help with the plant monitoring program. In a 3-hour session, participants will learn to identify prairie plants, map a prairie plot and track restoration progress just like the experts. MATLAB software tools 75% off for Fermilab - July 15

Process piping (ASME B31.3) class offered in October
