Argentine Tango Classes through June 24

Process piping (ASME B31.3) class offered in October
Gain a clearer understanding of how piping systems fail and the code requirements and guidance to prevent such failures. Computing account requests reach peak season
May is peak season for creating new computer accounts due to the influx of students, visitors and researchers on-site and requests from remote users around the world. Information about H1N1 inluenza is now available through Fermilab's Inluenza Q&A Web page. A flu questions form also allows employees and users to submit questions related to the H1N1 influenza.

Nanotechnology Lecture: Crafting of Self-Assembling Materials for Medicine & Energy - Fermilab Arts Series
Function in the biological world emerges from self-assembly of macromolecules and small molecules across scales. This lecture will describe the design of molecules for self-assembly into nanostructures that can function as bioactive materials to signal cells in regeneration, or hybrid materials to optimize charge and energy transfer. The implications for this type of research are endless, and the research done at the Stupp Laboratory has already noted advances in regenerative improvement from spinal cord injuries, from damage to the heart, and in rebuilding blood vessel growth. Accelerated C++ Short Course: registration open - June 8
On June 8, Fermilab will offer the first session of Accelerated C++: A Short Course in Practical Programming by Example. The Short Course is an extended professional development experience that emphasizes computer programming in modern standard C++. No tuition is charged; the required textbooks will be available for check-out from the Fermilab Library. Participants receive TRAIN credit upon successful completion of the eight-session course. Walter Brown, who participates on Fermilab's behalf in the international C++ standardization effort, is the course instructor. He is a member of the Co. Asthma & Allergy Awareness Lunch & Learn - May 19

The Recreation Department will sell pool memberships starting May 18 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. For your convenience, pool memberships will also be sold in the Wilson Hall Atrium on Monday, May 18th between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Friday, May 22 in the Village at the Recreation Center between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Single Membership $80, Family Membership (2-4 members) $180 (additional family members $10).
