Best of Dance Chicago - Fermilab Arts Series - May 9
A whole new line up of amazing artists, but the same excitement and variety of dance styles returns to Ramsey Auditorium as we bring you The Best of Dance Chicago. The tour’s last visit to Fermilab brought 11 exciting and dynamic companies, and this presentation promises to be just as breathtaking! Argentine Tango classes through May 13

Coed softball season begins May 13
Men and women from any level of play are welcome to participate. If you don't have a team, we'll find you one. Games are Wednesday or Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Fermilab softball field. French, Greek, and other ethnic dances in John Parrish workshop, May 14
Fermilab International Folk Dancing is pleased to present John Parrish, who will offer a workshop on French, Greek, and other dances from his eclectic knowledge at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 14, at Kuhn Village Barn at Fermilab. John is one of the Chicago area's foremost resources on many kinds of ethnic dance. He will teach dances for all levels and newcomers are welcome. Suggested donation is $8 for adults/$4 for students. Nanotechnology Lecture: Crafting of Self-Assembling Materials for Medicine & Energy - Fermilab Arts Series
Function in the biological world emerges from self-assembly of macromolecules and small molecules across scales. This lecture will describe the design of molecules for self-assembly into nanostructures that can function as bioactive materials to signal cells in regeneration, or hybrid materials to optimize charge and energy transfer. The implications for this type of research are endless, and the research done at the Stupp Laboratory has already noted advances in regenerative improvement from spinal cord injuries, from damage to the heart, and in rebuilding blood vessel growth. Summer co-ed volleyball league begins June 1

Susan Werner - Singer/Songwriter Performs on Arts Series
Hailed as "The most innovative songwriter working today" by the Chicago Tribune, Susan Werner has cultivateda reputation as a clever, daring songwriter with a killer live show. She boldly endeavors to weave old with new to created altogether new genres of music, and regularly keeps the audiences guessing and laughing at the same time. Susan's last album, "The Gospel Truth," blended faith and doubt, was described as "agnostic gospel." National Day of Prayer observance May 7
An observance of the 58th Annual National Day of Prayer will be held from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. on May 7 in the Wilson Hall 7th floor crossover center conference room. We will read the Presidential Proclamation and have volunteers pray for our nation and laboratory for no more than five minutes each.
