Science Chicago hosts Mythbusters
Through August 2009, Science Chicago offers tours, hands-on activities and other science-related events for adults and children, many free of charge. Events include the Fermilab Open House on Jan. 17 and a visit by the Mythbusters of the Discovery Channel, Adam Savage & Jamie Hyneman, on March 1 at the Harris Theater. English Country Dancing, Jan. 11
English Country Dancing will be held Sunday, Jan. 11, at Kuhn Village Barn. Dancing begins at 2 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome. All the dances are taught and walked through and no partner is required. Next month, dancing will be held on the first Sunday, Feb. 1, with live music, and a potluck supper following. Barn Dance Jan. 11
The Fermilab Folk Club hosts a Barn Dance on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kuhn Village Barn with French-Canadian music by Bodine and team calling by Meg Dedolph & Rachel Shapiro. Argentine Tango Classes begin Jan. 14
Our new series of 4 tango classes starts Wed., Jan. 14, if you would like to sign up, please send an e-mail to Pamela Noyes, by Tue. Jan. 13 at noyes@fnal.gov. Outstanding Chicago tango dancers, Eduardo Villalba and Bohulava Samoylenko will teach the next series of classes. Classes start Jan. 14 and run each Wed. thru Feb. 4 - Class set, $60.00 per person - Pay first day of class. Outlook 2007 New Features classes scheduled Jan. 15 and Feb. 3
Become comfortable with the interface, mail messages and contact management within Outlook 2007. A morning session and an afternoon session will be offered on Jan. 15th. Winter Driving Skills Seminar - Jan. 7
The Traffic Safety Subcommittee is holding a "Winter Driving Skills Seminar" on Jan. 7, in 1-West, Wilson Hall, at 11:30 a.m. The seminar will last approximately half an hour. John Denofrio of the "Green Light Driving School" will be the speaker. Green Light Driving School is offering a door prize of 1 free adult driving lesson or $50.00 towards a teen driving program. International Folk Dancing, Jan. 8
International Folk Dancing resumes weekly meetings for the new year on Thursday, Jan. 8, at Kuhn Village Barn.
