Public lecture on history of Fermilab Nov. 14
Fermilab archivist Adrienne Kolb will present "Facing the Frontier: Fermilab 1967 - 2008" on Friday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m. in Ramsey Auditorium. Tickets are $5. Kolb's new book, "Fermilab: Physics, the Frontier and Megascience," will be for sale.

Join Fermilab volleyball, training
Fermilab's winter volleyball league will begin game play on Nov 17. Interested volleyball players can join the league's practice games in the Fermilab Village gym on Mondays from 6-9 p.m. Players can join the league teams or create new ones. To participate in the league you must have a valid Fermilab gym membership. Call Sergey Los, league convener at x8313 or visit the Web site for more information.

Barn dance Sunday, Nov. 16
The Fermilab Folk Club will host a barn dance party on Sunday, Nov. 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Kuhn Village Barn. The dance will include music and calling by some of the Midwest's finest musicians and callers. There might be a birthday cake. Admission to the barn dance party is free. More information

NALWO Thanksgiving feast Nov. 17
NALWO, Fermilab's women's organization, will host "Thanksgiving Across America," a Thanksgiving feast on Monday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Chez Leon in the Users' Center. NALWO members will prepare food and chefs will describe how to prepare traditional dishes. Contact the Housing Office at x3777 or Rose Moore at (630) 208-9309 with questions. Photo identification is required to enter the laboratory.

Annual Enrollment Nov. 17 - Dec. 10
Annual Enrollment will take place from Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 through Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008. Materials are being sent to your mail station and are also available on the benefits Web site at http://wdrs.fnal.gov/benefits/index.html

English Country Dancing, Nov. 23
English Country Dancing will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, at Kuhn Village Barn. Dancing begins at 2 p.m. There will be a potluck supper following the dancing, at about 5:30 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome. All the dances are taught and walked through and no partner is required. In December, dancing will be held on the first Sunday, Dec. 7, with live music. Director's volunteer award Nov. 25
The Director's volunteer award reception, which was cancelled Tuesday due to the power outage, has been rescheduled. The reception will take place at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25 on the second floor crossover.

Exciting Explorations! child care program offered Nov. 24-26
Exciting Explorations!, a child care program for children ages 7-12, will take place Nov. 24, 25 and 26, depending on interest. A summer-camp counselor will lead the program. Two snacks and beverages are provided. Please send a sack lunch. Program cost is $25 a day and payment is due upon reservation. Reservations are due Nov. 19. Scottish Country Dancing will meet Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Kuhn Village Barn. Instruction begins at 7:30 p.m. and newcomers are always welcome. Fermilab health fair, chiropractic presentation Nov. 13
The Benefits Office will host a health fair on Thursday, Nov. 13 in the Wilson Hall Atrium from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. A presentation, titled "Holistic Chiropractic Medicine," will take place from 12-12:30 p.m. in One West. Anyone may attend.

International Folk Dancing, Nov. 13
International Folk Dancing will meet Thursday, Nov. 13, at Kuhn Village Barn. Dancing begins at 7:30 p.m. with teaching and children's dances earlier in the evening and request dancing later on.
