Witherell Among Recipients of DOE Secretary's Gold Award
"I'm proud to recognize the people whose hard work and dedication contribute so much to the
Department of Energy's vital missions," said Secretary Abraham, who presented the awards at a luncheon
at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C.
"Our world-class laboratories are a marvelous resource and have made far-reaching
contributions-not only to the Department of Energy, but to our Nation and indeed the world."

Meet the New Student Representatives | ||

No negative campaigning was involved for the election of the new
Graduate Student Association (GSA) representatives: David Clark (CDF) from Brandeis University,
Katherine Copic (CDF) from the University of Michigan, Yannis Katsanos (DZero) from Columbia University,
Jennifer Pursley (CDF) from John Hopkins University and Sinjini Sengupta (Dzero) from Florida State University.
At the top of the agenda for this year, the new officers said, will be the update of the GSA's Guide to Life, a useful resource for users and employees as well as students. Other major tasks will be to organize next spring's "New Perspectives" conference and to take part in a trip to Washington, D.C. together with the Users Executive Committee and the SLAC Users Organization. But right now, the GSA's most immediate concern is throwing this weekend's Halloween party. "It will be an opportunity to see how we work together as a group," said Katsanos.
The representatives said all graduate students are always welcome to contact them -- either by
email or in person -- about any issues students
may face during their stay at Fermilab.

More words, more sentences could provide details, swelling into an unwieldy yet still incomplete paragraph.
