Utility Gas Outage on Nov. 27
There will be a utility gas outage on Friday, Nov. 27 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. while piping line is installed for LArTF. This will affect heating and hot water for Wilson Hall, MINOS, NOvA, Lederman Science Center, MINERvA, MiniBooNE, MicroBooNE and LArTF. Contact the Outage Coordinator Ron Foutch at ext. 3385 or Josh Kenney at ext. 4649 with questions. Please visit the FESS Web Site: Utility Outage Information for updates. Contact your building manager for outage accommodation plans such as relocation, emergency power, emergency bathroom facilities, etc.

Women in STEM: Connect 2015 on Dec. 1 in Chicago
The 2015 installment of Women in STEM: Connect is back in Chicago on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. at the School of the Art Institute. Organized by the Chicago Council on Science and Technology, the event features a panel discussion with three women who took a different route to infusing their careers with science and a networking reception. Dec. 18 all-hands meeting and labwide party
An all-hands meeting will be held on Friday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. in Ramsey Auditorium. A labwide party will follow in the Wilson Hall atrium.

English country dancing Sunday afternoon Nov. 22 at Kuhn Barn with live music
English country dancing will be held Sunday, November 22, at Kuhn Village Barn. The program starts with dances for experienced dancers at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 to 5 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome to join this social and accessible sort of dancing. We will dance to fine live music by Old Fezziwig's Band. The group meets monthly and will dance Dec. 6, and celebrate their 10th anniversary on Jan. 10, 2016. Open Pickleball League at the Gym
An open Pickleball League is being formed at the gym. Come try it out on Mondays between 4pm and 6pm and/or Wednesdays, Noon-2pm. Pickleball is a slower and smaller court version of tennis. Beginner paddles will be provided. Gym membership is required. Non-gym members can obtain a free trial membership to try it out from Jeanne Ecker at jecker@fnal.gov or x2548. Pickleball is ideal for those who don't move as fast as they used to but want to get some exercise and have fun at the same time.

Indoor soccer
Indoor Soccer is on Tuesdays (6:00 pm 9:00 pm) and Thursdays (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm) and Sundays (4:00 pm 7:00 pm) in the Gym at the Village. Gym membership required. Please contact O'Sheg Oshinowo at Oshinowo@fnal.gov for more information.

International folk dancing 7 p.m. start this Thursday, Nov. 5, at Kuhn Barn, no dancing on Thanksgiving
International folk dancing meets weekly, Thursday evenings, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. but this Thursday,Nov. 5, dancing will begin at 7 p.m. with a special beginner program. Newcomers are always welcome. There is instruction and dances for children and newer dancers early in the evening and request dancing later on. Many of the dances are lines and circles, with no partners needed. Workshop on Booster Performance and Enhancements - Nov. 23-24
The Proton Improvement Plan (PIP) will be hosting a Workshop that will be held on 23- 24 November 2015 at Wilson Hall. This Booster Workshop will bring together partners, collaborators, users and collegial experts to confer with Fermilab accelerator physicists and experts to critically assess issues related to the intensity and performance of the the Fermilab Booster synchrotron, and comparable accelerators elsewhere.
