International folk dancing Thursday evenings at Ramsey Auditorium
International folk dancing is held every Thursday evening, starting at 7:30 p.m. through September 3, in the air-conditioned comfort of Ramsey Auditorium in Wilson Hall. Newcomers are always welcome. There is instruction and dances for children and newer dancers early and request dancing later on. The group dances year- round, moving to Kuhn Barn after Labor Day. Dancing is held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome and are paired with experienced dancers -- no need to come with a partner. Book Discussion - Mindset: The New Psychology of Success
The Fermilab Women's Initiative invites everyone to a lunchtime discussion of the book "Mindset" by Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D. "Dweck explains why it's not just our abilities and talent that bring us success - but whether we approach our goals with a fixed or growth mindset." With the right mindset, we can motivate others to succeed, and reach our own personal and professional goals. AD's Lucy Nobrega will facilitate the event on Thursday, July 30 from 12:30 to 1:30 in the Racetrack - WH7X. Copies of the book are available from the Fermilab library.

Wilson Hall Asphalt Repairs
Asphalt repairs will take place in the far west lot of Wilson Hall on Thurday, July 23. This work will make 40+ parking spaces unavailable for use until Monday, July 27. Contact Steve Whiteaker at x3303 with any questions regarding this work.

Fermilab Community clean-up
Join the Fermilab Community for a volunteer lunchtime clean-up this Thursday July 23rd to make up for the rain-out dates. Transportation to the clean-up sites from Wilson Hall Ground Floor East Side will be at 11:45 SHARP and all cleaning gear provide. Children's Swim Lessons Session IV Registration Closes July 27
Registration for Session IV of Preschool and Youth Swim Lessons will close Monday, July 27th. Session IV will be held Monday - Thursday, August 3 - August 13 at the Fermilab Village Pool. For more information or to register www.jeffellismanagement.com

Pool Memberships on Sale
Pool Memberships on sale effective July 13 - August 16. Single Pool Membership $65. Family Pool Membership (up to 4 members) $152. Family Member #5 or more (living in the same household) $27 each. Pool Memberships can be purchased in the Wellness Office, WH15W, from 9am-4pm Monday-Friday with cash, check, VISA or Mastercard. Day Passes can be purchased at the pool from the lifeguard. Cash only. $8/day or $6 after 4pm. Fermilab Village Pool is open Tuesday - Friday, Noon-7pm, Saturday & Sunday, 1-6pm (closed Mondays). Fermilab Prairie Plant Survey
Be a field scientist along with Fermilab docents to help monitor prairie restoration. Learn to identify plants, map a prairie quadrat, and gather data that will be used to help track the progress of the prairie.Join us on one or more of the following dates: July 14, July 25, August 4, August 15, or September 19. Fermilab Board Game Guild
The Fermilab Board Game Guild meets every Tuesday at the User's Center from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Everyone is welcome, and no connection with Fermilab is required. Board games played include, but are not limited to, Puerto Rico, Ticket To Ride, Seven Wonders, Stone Age, Attica, Alhambra, Citadels, and many more. English country dancing Sunday, July 26, at Kuhn Barn
English country dancing will be held Sunday, July 26, at Kuhn Village Barn. The program starts with dances for experienced dancers at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 to 5 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome to join this social and accessible sort of dancing. The group meets monthly, year-round, with live music usually every other month. Fermilab Softball League
The Fermilab co-ed 14” recreational softball league has openings for both male and female players. Games are once a week in the Village on either Wed or Thurs through Sept 10, including playoffs. No experience necessary. Contact Chris Greer at cgreer@fnal.gov or x4847.

User Center Entrance Repair on Sauk Blvd in the Village
The 2 entrances at the West end of the User Center Parking Lot off Sauk Boulevard will be closed for repair starting July 6, 2015, weather permitting. User Center visitors should use the entrance off Che Che Pinqua St. to enter and park in the lot. Work is expected to last several weeks.

Call for proposals: URA Visiting Scholars Program
Universities Research Association Inc. has announced a deadline of Aug. 31st, for the submission of applications for the fall 2015 cycle of awards in the URA Visiting Scholars Program (VSP) at Fermilab. Award recipients will be notified by the end of September. These awards provide financial support for faculty and graduate students from URA's 89 member universities to work at Fermilab for periods of up to one year. URA makes two rounds of awards each year, in the spring and fall. The application deadline for the spring 2016 cycle is Feb. 29, 2016.
