WalkingWorks Week 6 Winners

Abri Credit Union Celebrates the Next Generation
On Friday, June 26, you will bring your daughters and sons to work. You will help them learn about the world of work, the future and how to shape it. The world of work will provide your daughters and sons income. You can also help them learn what they can do with their income and the importance of smart saving and spending. Stop by the Abri Credit Union branch office in Wilson Hall on the ground floor for a Free “It’s Money Time” credit union activity book and Frisbee. For the older children there is a Free “Guide to Money”.

LISTSERV upgrade Thursday, June 25
The Core Computing Division will be upgrading the mailing list management application LISTSERV to the latest version on Thursday, June 25, from noon to 1 p.m. During this time, the LISTSERV service will be unavailable. If you send messages to LISTSERV mailing lists, your messages will be put into a queue and get delivered when the upgrade is complete. After the upgrade, the look and feel of the Web interface will change. If you only use email to communicate with LISTSERV, this upgrade will not affect you; LISTSERV email commands will remain the same. Outdoor soccer

Preschool & Youth Swim Lessons Session 2

Wilson Hall annual abandoned bike removal
Bikes not claimed by June 26 will be removed from the WH racks and evaluated for re-assignment for public use or parts inventory. Please return the tags that have been posted on each bike to the ComCenter, WHGF by C.O.B.Monday June 22 (no later than Friday June 26) to claim your bike if still in use. Questions? NALWO Potluck Picnic - Wednesday, July 1, 5:30 p.m., Kuhn Barn
All are welcome at a Potluck-Picnic for the lab community, Wednesday, July 1 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Kuhn Barn. Bring the family and enjoy the company, conversation, and cuisine of lab employees, associates, visitors and guests from around the world. Please bring a dish to serve 6 – 8 persons and your own meat to grill. Tableware, soft drinks and hot dogs will be provided. Zumba Fitness Registration Due June 25
The next session of Zumba Fitness will be held on Thursdays, July 2 - July 23. This is a 4 week summer session held in the Fitness Center Exercise Room from 12-12:45pm. Developing Monitoring and Control Systems with LabVIEW and CompactRIO Hands-On Seminar (1pm-4pm) on June 25
In this complimentary three hour session you will see how to use LabVIEW to design custom monitoring and control systems with field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), real-time operating systems, and analog I/O. You will learn how to develop LabVIEW Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA applications for better code reuse and easier debugging. You will also conduct hands-on exercises with NI CompactRIO, including data flow and parallelism, and network communication. The session will be held at the Training Center, Rd. Hands-on: Evaluate CompactDAQ and LabVIEW for Your Application on June 25
In this complimentary three hour hands-on session with National Instruments, you will be able to understand key steps in system configuration, build example data acquisition applications using a variety of sensor types including temperature, strain, vibration, and light. You will also familiarize yourself with automating measurement acquisition and signal processing. The session will be held at the Training Center, Rd. A-1, Computer Training Room from 9am-12pm. English country dancing Sunday, June 21, at Kuhn Barn, with live music
English country dancing will be held Sunday, June 21, at Kuhn Village Barn. There will be live music by Old Fezziwig's Band. The program starts with dances for experienced dancers at 1 p.m., and dances for everyone from 2 to 5 p.m. There may be a potluck supper following the dancing. Newcomers are always welcome to join this social and accessible sort of dancing. The group meets monthly, year-round, with live music usually every other month. Scottish country dancing moves to Ramsey Auditorium, meeting Tuesday evenings through the summer
Scottish country dancing meets Tuesday evenings from June 16 through September 1, in the air-conditioned comfort of Ramsey Auditorium in Wilson Hall. Dancing is held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome and are paired with experienced dancers -- no need to come with a partner. International folk dancing moves to Ramsey Auditorium, meeting Thursday evenings through the summer
International folk dancing meets Thursday evenings from June 17 through September 3 in the air-conditioned comfort of Ramsey Auditorium in Wilson Hall. Dancing runs from 7:30 to 10 p.m. and newcomers are always welcome. There is instruction and dances for children and newer dancers early and request dancing later on. Wednesday Walkers
Need someone to walk with? Wednesday Walkers depart each Wednesday promptly at noon from outside the East Side entrance of Wilson Hall. Time, distance and speed are up to you. Fermilab Board Game Guild
The Fermilab Board Game Guild meets every Tuesday at the User's Center from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Everyone is welcome, and no connection with Fermilab is required. Board games played include, but are not limited to, Puerto Rico, Ticket To Ride, Seven Wonders, Stone Age, Attica, Alhambra, Citadels, and many more.
