Wilson Hall EBS customers to use the Managed Print Service
The printer requirements for Oracle e-Business Suite Application (EBS) customers in Wilson Hall have been updated. To print from EBS in Wilson Hall, your computer will need to be configured to print to a Managed Print Service (MPS) printer device. Please see the FermiPrint website (fermiprint.fnal.gov) to locate printing options in your location and download drivers to MPS printers. All Wilson Hall EBS customers should use this website to verify they are working with MPS print queue printers when using EBS. If you need assistance with changing your default printer within EBS, please create a service desk request.
Barn Dance June 8
The Fermilab Folk Club presents a Barn Dance on Sunday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kuhn Village Barn with music by Suite for the Feet and calling by Lynn Garren. Everyone is welcome. You don't need to know anything, just come and have fun! Admission is $6, children under 12 are free, 12 to 18 year olds and people over 65 are $3. Employee Self-Service changes to updating your personal information
Beginning May 30, you will be unable to change your personal information in PeopleSoft Employee Self-Service. This function will be performed in FermiWorks, which will be available beginning June 30. If you need to change your personal information between May 30 at 7 a.m. and June 30, please email RECORDS@FNAL.GOV.
Scottish country dancing not meeting June 10, moves to Ramsey Auditorium starting June 17
Scottish country dancing is not meeting on Tuesday, June 10, and will move to Ramsey Auditorium for the summer, starting June 17. Until then, weekly meetings continue at Kuhn Barn, with dancing from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The times on summer Tuesdays in Ramsey Auditorium will be the same. The group is taught by Doug Jensen. International folk dancing cancelled May 29 and June 12, meeting in Barn June 5, and Ramsey Auditorium June 19
International folk dancing is not meeting Thursday, May 29, nor on June 12. Dancing will however take place in Kuhn Barn on June 5, at the usual times, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. After that, dancing moves to Ramsey Auditorium for the summer, from June 19, weekly on through August. Newcomers are always welcome. There is instruction and dances for children and newer dancers early and request dancing later on. Registering your personal device to access the Fermilab network
If you have a personal device you would like to use on the Fermilab network, a new form is available on the Service Desk web site to register the device and gain access to the network at
https://fermi.service-now.com/com.glideapp.servicecatalog_cat_item_view.do?sysparm_id=afd29c2dcc6dcd80f9e6f19b4c359c2a. From the Service Desk home page, click "Service Catalog," then “Register/Update/Unregister a Personally Owned Device.” Personally owned devices such as tablets or cell phones can now be registered using this form. Links to register a device owned by Fermilab, another institution or university are also available in the Service Desk Service Catalog.

The CIE + Cisco EIR Innovation Challenge
Is Your Game-Changing Idea Ready for a Challenge? The Chicago Innovation Exchange (CIE) at the University of Chicago and Cisco Entrepreneurs in Residence (Cisco EIR) have announced the CIE + Cisco EIR Innovation Challenge for local entrepreneurs in the fields of The Internet of Everything, Big Data, and Analytics. Finalists in the Challenge will recieve feedback from industry experts, marketing support from CIE and Cisco EIR, and invitations to attend Internet of Things World Forum.

Fermilab Arts & Lecture Series Presents The Quantum Universe - Dr. Hitoshi Murayama - June 11
Presented in collaboration with the Fermilab Annual Users Meeting. Where do we come from? Science is making progress on this age-old question of humankind. The Universe was once much smaller than the size of an atom. Small things mattered in the small Universe, where quantum physics dominated the scene. Hitoshi Murayama is a theoretical physicist who works on the connection between the physics of the small (elementary particles) and the large (the Universe). He is a professor at the Univ. of California - Berkeley and one of the founding directors of the Kavli Institute at the Univ. of Tokyo. Fermi Pool Memberships
Fermi Pool open Tuesday, June 10-Sunday, August 17. Pool hours: Tuesday-Friday, Noon-7pm, Saturday/Sunday, 1-6pm. Closed Mondays. Pool membership is open to Fermi employees, retirees, visiting researchers, contractors, onsite DOE employees and immediate families living in same household of above. Memberships are not transferable and non-refundable. Single Membership $126. Family Membership $294 (up to 4 family members), additional family members over 4 are $54. Children age 2 and under are free. Lifeguards do not sell pool memberships. Memberships are sold in the Wellness Office at WH15W, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm. Mac OS X security patch available for install, May 13
On Tuesday, May 13, Desktop Engineering is enabling Security Update 2014-002 through the central Apple update server for all Fermi-owned Macs running OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), 10.8 (Mountain Lion) and 10.7 (Lion). Users should install the update when the Mac OS X message appears stating that updates are available. If the message does not appear, check using Software Update found in the Apple menu. This update requires a restart to complete; by installing it manually, you can do this at your own convenience. If you do not install the update at this time, then automated install for this update will begin on Tuesday, June 10.
