Kyuki Do Registration Due Monday, Feb. 10
The next session of Kyuki-Do will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, February 17 - March 26 in the Gymnasium. Fee is $60. Register in the Wellness Office, WH15W by Monday, February 10. This class focuses on practical self-defense for men and women. Learn how to kick, block, punch, throw and fall. For more info call Jeanne in the Wellness Office at x2548 or jecker@fnal.gov.

Yoga Registration Due Thursday, Feb. 6
Sign up for one or both of the new Yoga classes in the Wellness Office by Thursday, Feb. 6. Mondays, 12-12:45pm, Feb. 10 - March 24 (no class 3/17). Fee is $45. Thursdays, Feb. 13-March 27 (no class 3/20). Fee is $45. Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, this class will help you feel both energized and relaxed. Strength Training Registration Due Feb. 7
The next session of Strength Training by Bod Squad will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 13 - April 10 (no class 3/27) from 5-6pm in the Fitness Center Exercise Room. Class fee is $82. Barn Dance Feb. 9
The Fermilab Folk Club presents a Barn Dance on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kuhn Village Barn with music by the $8000 Stringband and calling by Maggie Jo Saylor. Everyone is welcome. You don't need to know anything, just come and have fun! Admission is $6, children under 12 are free, 12 to 18 year olds and people over 65 are $3. Budker Seminar February 10 at 5:00 pm
Please join us at the User's Center Monday, February 10 for the monthly Budker Seminar that begins at 5:00 pm. This month's speaker is Sergey Antipov from the University of Chicago. Talk title: "Injection design for IOTA ring". Integrable Optics Test Accelerator is a proof-of-principle experiment designed to demonstrate a concept of integrable accelerator lattice with highly non-linear optics. The goal of the project is to demonstrate that huge nonlinear tune shifts can be achieved in a realistic accelerator design. Free pizza and beverages will be served. Garden Club Spring Meeting

Performance Review: March 26 or March 27 (prerequisite: Interaction Management)
This one day course is for managers and supervisors who conduct performance reviews. You will learn the elements of an effective performance review; Learn how to prepare for an interactive performance review discussion; Practice communication skills that encourage two-way communication; Practice the steps of conducting a performance review discussion; Practice handling difficult situations. Interaction Management: March 5, 12, and 19

URA Visiting Scholars Program deadline - Feb. 24
Universities Research Association has announced a deadline of Feb. 24 for the submission of applications for the spring 2014 cycle of awards in the URA Visiting Scholars Program at Fermilab. Award recipients will be notified at the end of March. These awards provide financial support for faculty and students from URA's 88 member universities to work at Fermilab for periods of up to one year. Family Science Days in Chicago - Feb. 15-16
Family Science Days is a free community science showcase featuring hands-on demos, shows - including Fermilab's Mr. Freeze - and other activities appropriate for K-12 children and their families. The event features a broad range of educators and scientists promoting an interest in science among the public. Fermi Singers invites new members
The Fermilab singers invite all interested lab employees and their family members to join us Wednesdays from noon-1pm in Ramsey Auditorium. All vocal parts are welcome to join and no experience is necessary. We work though a wide variety of classical and contemporary choral pieces in a variety of languages, and are always looking for new material. Start the new year by extending your vocal repertoire! Scottish country dancing meets Tuesday evenings at Kuhn Village Barn
Silk and Thistle Scottish country dancing is held every Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Kuhn Village Barn. The group and is taught by Doug Jensen. Newcomers are always welcome and are paired with experienced dancers -- no need to come with a partner. Winter cancellations are announced by email the afternoon of the dance.
