The Congregation Band - Fermilab Arts Series
Saturday, August 17, soul meets rock-n-roll when The Congregation Band takes the stage in Ramsey Auditorium as part of the Fermilab Arts Series. Not only does soul meet rock-n-roll, but so does astrophysics, as the lead guitarist is our own Dan Hooper, aka Charlie Wayne. Known as one of Chicagolands' most exciting bands, The Chicago Tribune says “Led by vocalist Gina Bloom, whose bluesy pipes and aching timbres carry over her dapperly dressed band’s rhythm section, The Congregation unapologetically hearken back to an era when music stands, brassy call-and-response lines and disciplined performances graced every concert stage. The wild card? Sass..” (630)840-ARTS or www.fnal.gov/culture.
