Photowalk

Tweet the Photowalk

Do you like science?

Going places people normally don’t get to go?

Bragging about it to your friends and strangers on the Internet?

Then listen up.

Every few years, Fermilab hosts a photowalk with access to behind-the-scenes locations. This year, we’re adding an extra component: social media.

We’re looking for five passionate, engaged Twitter users to join our photowalk and share the experience live online. We’ll ask our designated tweeters to post the fascinating things they learn and the awesome photos they take throughout the morning of July 28.

We’ll provide: access to our coolest science facilities, knowledgeable guides, transportation around the site, and plenty of high fives.

You’ll need your own: phone or tablet with a reliable Internet connection, Twitter account that you spend too much time on, and transportation to Fermilab. You’ll also need to be at least 18 so we can take you underground.

If you have all of the above and want to spend a morning wandering around America’s particle physics laboratory with a bunch of science fans, you should apply. (Make sure you read all of the guidelines on the photowalk page first!)

To enter, simply tweet @Fermilab with the hashtag #FermilabPhotowalk and let us know you want to come get your tweet on. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Central on July 8. Make sure you follow @Fermilab! We’ll notify the winners by July 13.
