The experiment will test time-of-flight particle detectors with the ultimate goal of achieving 1 pico-second timing resolution. The detectors will consist of Microchannel plate photo-multiplier tubes (MCP-PMTs) with quartz radiators at the face. Incident particles will pass through the radiators and the tubes. Resultant Cerenkov light will be sensed by the tubes and converted into electronic signals whose leading edges will mark the time of the beamís passage.
