This experiment will help to determine the shielding effectiveness of boron nanoparticle and microparticle shielding materials. This work is funded by NASA and in a joint partnership between the University of Kentucky and Georgia Institute of Technology. The University of Kentucky, Materials Science Division, has fabricated the polyethylene based boron nanoparticle microparticle shielding materials. These materials are being tested with Fermilab's a high-energy particle beam.
