Collecting antiprotons. (Creating and collecting antiprotons is not just a MI and Pbar process. The particle beam begins in the Preaccelerator where protons are extracted from a bottle of hydrogen. This stream of particles is accelerated to 750 KeV and sent to the LINAC, Fermi's LINear ACcelerator. The LINAC accelerates the particles to an energy of 400 MeV. From there the particles go to the Booster and receive another energy boost to 8 GeV. Finally the protons get injected into the Main Injector and are accelerated to 120 GeV. MI sends these protons to a nickel target in the Pbar ring where the antiprotons are created.)
