Tevatron

The Tevatron is the largest of the Fermilab accelerators, with a circumference of approximately 4 miles. The Tevatron accepts protons and antiprotons from Main Injector and accelerates them from 150 GeV to 980 GeV. It uses cryogenically cooled magnets to accelerate the beam. Presently, the Tevatron is the highest energy accelerator in the world.
