Description

The Fermilab Particle Astrophysics Center invites applications for the 2006 Brinson Predoctoral Fellowship.

Presently, the Particle Astrophysics Center is actively involved with Theoretical Astrophysics and Cosmology, the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, the Pierre Auger Project, the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search, the Dark Energy Survey, SNAP/JDEM, and other experiments.

Eligibilty

The Fellowship is intended for Ph.D. students in the last year of study. The recipient would spend the final year of his/her graduate study in residence at Fermilab working with members of the Particle Astrophysics Center.

Term of Appointment

The fellowship provides a monthly $2000 salary for 12 months as well as $1000 toward travel expenses. The applicant's institution will be responsible for health insurance, as well as any tuition and fees. The term of the Fellowship would start between January 1 and September 30, 2006. The starting date will be negotiated at the time of the offer.
