Pete Souza is the national photographer for the Chicago Tribune, based in their Washington bureau. Since joining the Tribune in 1998, Souza has covered events in Afghanistan, Kosovo and Northern Ireland, as well as the presidential campaigns of 2004 and 2000, and the impeachment saga in 1998. In 2003, Souza pursued a project across the U.S. on "Environmental Battlegrounds," culminating in a Special Photo Report that was published as a 12-page, all-color section in the Tribune.
