What Are We Doing?
(if I knew what I were doing, it wouldn't be research)
- A discussion of the physics signatures, backgrounds, and limiting systematics together with detector requirements. Our goal here is to understand what the physics signatures require from the detectors and to model a few canonical detector types to understand what the limiting systematics might be.This report is the core of our effort.
- A summary table suitable for review committees
and pre-eukaryotic life forms.
So far, we have four people pursuing different topics:
- RHB on Iron/Scintillator Tracking Calorimeters
- Mayda Velasco on Fine-Grained Calorimeter (a lá ICARUS)
- Eric Prebys on Emulsion
- Ray Stefanski on Cerenkov Detectors
- A transparency from the first general
meeting on 10/12/99.
