The files G4Buncher*.out and G4PhaseRot*.out contain the kinematic information of a muon beam at the end of the a GEANT4 simulation of the "Neuffer" buncher and phase rotator, respectivelly. The input beam to the buncher was originally generated with MARS, and had previously gone through 99m of a drift section. The files are NOW IN ICOOL FORMAT. For more info about the buncher and phase rotator designs, see MuCool note appearing in the near future (see Daniel Elvira's Shelter Island talk, and Nancy Keuss's simulation meeting talk on Tues 13th of August). There are three different buncher schemes: G4Buncher60f.out contains the beam out from a 60m buncher with 60 r.f. cavities (one per meter) all with different frequencies. The frequency is reduced as a function of z-position along the buncher to compensate for the growth of the beam length. Note that the file is a snapshot of the beam at z=60m from the buncher origin. G4Buncher20f.out Idem. The buncher is still 60m long and there are 60 cavities (one per meter) but the frequency is changed every three cavities, to reduce cost. Note that the file is a snapshot of the beam at z=58m from the buncher origin. G4Buncher10f.out Idem. The buncher is still 60m long and there are 60 cavities (one per meter) but the frequency is changed every six cavities, to further reduce cost. Note that the file is a snapshot of the beam at z=55m from the buncher origin. There is only one phase rotator scheme (fixed frequency), but three different possible outputs, associated with the use of the three different bunchers: G4PhaseRot60f.out contains the beam out from a 9m phase rotator, which previously went through the 60 freq buncher. The z-location of the beam is 9m (meaning 9m from the phase rotator origin). G4PhaseRot20f.out contains the beam out from a 9m phase rotator, which previously went through the 20 freq buncher. The z-location of the beam in the file is 11m, measured from the z-location of the G4Buncher20f.out beam. The 11m therefore include 2m of drift (from 58m to 60m) and the 9m of the phase rotator. G4PhaseRot10f.out contains the beam out from a 9m phase rotator, which previously went through the 10 freq buncher. The z-location of the beam in the file is 14m, measured from the z-location of the G4Buncher10f.out beam. The 14m therefore include 5m of drift (from 55m to 60m) and the 9m of the phase rotator.
