On Tuesday, May 31, 2011, the Annual New Perspectives Conference takes place at Fermilab. This conference is aimed at young physicists in High Energy or Nuclear physics, of under-graduate, graduate and post-doctoral levels. There will be a day's worth of talks on May 31st followed by a barbecue in front of Kuhn Barn. The following day at the 44th annual User's Meeting posters by Fermilab graduate students, postdocs, and research associates will be featured during the evening reception. The posters will be displayed through the end of the User's Meeting, June 2nd.
New Perspectives talks should be a maximum of 15 minutes long. The deadline for abstract submissions for New Perspectives is Friday, May 27th.
There is no registration for New Perspectives (please just show up to attend!) but please do so for the User's Meeting, particularly if you're giving a poster or giving a New Perspectives talk. Registration link is here.
New Perspectives is organized by Fermilab's Graduate Student Association.
- Thanks to all who participated! An historical record of the awesome talks (as well as photos of speakers!) can be found here.
