Swimming Pool

The Fermilab outdoor swimming pool is located behind the Kuhn Barn on Sauk Road in the Village. Dressing rooms, lockers, and shower facilities are available and are located adjacent to the pool in the lower level of Kuhn Barn.

2005-2006 membership rates are listed below. Call Jean Guyer in the Recreation Office at x2548 to confirm, as rates are subject to change.



Single $45
Family up to 4 $85 (Additional member $8)
Short Term single $25 + $20 (deposit) 1 Month Only
Short Term family up to 4 $45 + $35 (deposit) (additional member $5) 1 MOnth Only


Children age 2 and under do not require a pool tag. Guest are welcome but not exceed five permember.

Employees without a pool membership may pay a daily admission fee of $4 per day ($3.00 after 6PM on weekdays only), payable at the pool gate. Guests are welcome, but are not to exceed five per member. Guests must be accompanied by a Fermilab employee and pay the daily admission fee. Admission charges to the pool will be strictly enforced. Daily fees will not be applied to a pool membership purchase.

The Fermilab swimming pool will be open on weekends only for family swimming beginning Memorial Day weekend. The pool will open full-time no later than two weeks after Memorial Day. Mid August to Labor Day weekend the pool will be open based on lifeguard availability. The schedule follows:



Weekdays 11:30AM-1PM adult-only lap swimming
  1PM-8PM family swimming (lifeguard on duty)
Weekends 10PM-7PM family swimming (lifeguard on duty)
Holidays 12PM-5PM family swimming (lifeguard on duty)


All other times the pool is closed - no swimming is allowed. The pool will also close for rain, thunder, lightning, or other severe weather - or for outdoor temperatures of 20 degrees Celsius or less (69 degrees Fahrenheit). Call X3119 or X2548 for status.
