Title: "Neutrino Interactions in the MINOS Near Detector"

Abstract:

MINOS is a long-baseline two-detector neutrino oscillation experiment. Neutrinos produced by the NuMI facility at Fermilab are observed at the Near and the Far Detectors placed 735km apart. By placing the Near Detector very close to the source, an extremely intense beam of neutrinos actually provides an event rate that requires handling large data rates and the use of precise timing to separate overlapping events... A rather new challenge in the neutrino field.
