Title: "Measurement of the NuMI Neutrino Flux using the Accompanying Muon Beam"

Abstract:

The elusive nature of the neutrino presents unique challenges in measuring a flux and in turn calculating cross-sections. Muon measurements using NuMI muon monitors provides a fast and direct method to examine pion/kaon decays producing muons and their neutrino counterpart. The work shown will center on a method of extracting a neutrino flux utilizing muon data from the NuMI beamline muon monitors.
