Title:
"Neutrinos as Probes for Physics beyond the Standard Model"
Abstract:
The field of neutrino physics is very promising as a way to probe
physics beyond the Standard Model (SM). Current neutrino
experiments, for example MiniBooNE, have the potential of exploring
the validity or limits of various SM symmetries, and revealing new
possible symmetry violations, such as CP-violation in the leptonic
sector. Under the assumption of 3 active + 2 sterile neutrinos, the
possibility of CP-violation in the leptonic sector arises naturally
[1]. In an earlier study [2], it has been shown that such
CP-violating effects would be observable at MiniBooNE. The
assumptions, results, and implications of that study are presented
in this poster.
